FTM CRAZY QUESTION

Is it possible in this day and age to be pregnant with twins and not be able to tell? Im 29wks and 4dys and have had 3 ultrasounds, the most recent being when I was 28 wks and each time it looks like she's the only one in there, but I swear sometimes her kicks feel like they are in to different areas. So she still head up but sometimes i feel kicks on either side of the top of my stomach, then in the back like in my butt and vajayjay... It just seems like she shouldn't be able to do all that when "her space is so limited now" does anyone else baby move like this or could I have two and not know it?

  • If you've had 3 ultrasounds, it's very unlikely that there's a twin in there that they haven't seen. Also when your doctor listens to the heartbeats, there would be two.

I am 29 weeks now, and the baby is about 15 inches long. So probably the baby is stretching, and you're feeling the feet in one place and the head or hands in another.
  • It's not very likely, but I wouldn't say it can't happen 100%. There's always human error. Though, having said that, my baby kicks me a lot on the left and right side of my hips simultaneously (where the head is). Your baby is probably stretching out or reflexing or something! I wouldn't worry about having twins since your ultrasounds show only one baby. ;)
  • I feel them all over too and there is definitely just one in there. It's pretty unlikely to be missed by now considering the ultrasounds you've had.

  • I have a very high confidence you are not having twins. I feel the baby all over moving all the time. There isn't a ton of space in there.
  • I feel LO all over too, and did with my DD as well, just one baby both times. Does make me wonder how crazy it must feel to have twins in there if one baby can cause such a ruckus!!

  • Doubt it.
My baby moves and I feel him in my ribs, and at my hip bone, all the time! Sometimes same side, sometimes opposite sides.

However; my friend found out she was having twins at her 5 month appt, and she had 2 ultrasounds prior to that, and never even knew!

  • It could be a bunny.  They're very squirmy.

If it didn't show on THREE U/S's, it's pretty damned unlikely!

  • I wouldn't worry about it. Babies are squirrelly; they can and will maneuver around and get comfy. The likelihood of missing twins on 3 different ultrasounds is very low. Yay for a vigorous baby!

  • LOL. You would know if there were twins. Trust me.

  • Nope. Most likely only one. Pretty normal for baby to be all over the place and kicking you everywhere.

And yea totally surprised this stayed so tame :)
  • I feel my baby all over the place at the same time. I just figured she was kicking and punching at the same time and maybe some elbow jabs as well
  • I just can't take this question seriously. At all.
  • Not a twin but maybe you're getting a bonus puppy
