My poor DD is miserable. She is drooling non-stop (to the point she has a mouth rash, which has never happened before), terrible diaper rash, her appetite stinks and she is generally just unhappy. She's exhausted and we are attempting a nap right now but it's not going so hot

I feel so bad. Teething is never fun but she's usually handled it pretty well. Canine teeth are supposed to be pretty bad though, right? We've been doing Advil and offering her cold snacks like frozen yogurt tubes. Unfortunately the Advil is 6 hour duration but only seems to be working a few hours and then it's back to misery. Anyone have experience with alternating Tylenol and Advil every few hours? I know it can be done but it makes me nervous. But seeing her in pain is terrible (not to mention exhausting). Mainly this is just a vent but open to suggestions! TIA
Re: Canine teeth suck
I highly recommend alternating Tylenol and Motrin. If DS has a fever I give Tylenol, if not I give Motrin. If he's in pain again 3-4 hours later I give a dose of the opposite one.
My big problem during teething is DS loses his appetite almost completely. I offer him soft foods like bananas and mac n cheese. When he was working on his molars last month he had a fever (not as high as that for the canines) and he threw up a lot.... actually onto the cat a one point. I took him to the pedi and she suggested avoiding milk while he teeths... or offering lactose free options if he really wants milk. Since he hadn't been eating I had been giving him lots of milk. Now I focus on keeping him hydrated with popsicles and constantly offering him his water cup, the Lactaid milk worked well for us too.
Hang in there!
