DIY odor absorber update

I can't remember how long it's been, at least a month, right? Anyway, I just had to refill the container for the first time because the level was getting low and it was starting to smell like strong vinegar. I dumped and rinsed, not sure if I needed to because nothing looked gross, but it seemed appropriate. Refilled with vinegar and a few drops of both TTO and lavender and it's good as new.

I'm pretty amazed how well this is working. Did anyone else try it? I keep thinking it's too good to be true LOL. The sponge isn't even getting remotely nasty.

    I forget, was there a lid?
    TTC with PCOS since November 2009

    Our daughter E was born 7/29/2012!
    Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!

    Ah! LOL that makes a LOT more sense! Yes, there is a lid with holes poked through it for both air circulation and to allow absorption.
