Any ladies taking synthroid? I'm finding myself extremely sleepy. Anyone else experiencing this side effect? What side effects are you experiencing?

  • My levels must be way too high. I feel like I'm literally sleep walking.
    Baby #2 coming in August!
  • When was the last time you had your levels checked? I was hypo & felt like a zombie. But I switched to an endocrinologist (not RE or PCP) & she was able to get me in the normal range. However, some people present as hypo even if they are hyper. I'm one of those lucky ones who are like that. Good luck!

  • I'm taking Synthroid. Like others have said, have your levels checked, you might need a higher dose if you're hypo. I'm Hypothyroid and I can tell right away when my levels are off, exhaustion is one of the first signs. What @lemonliz said is exactly what happens to me.

  • I started Synthroid this past month, so it may be too early to tell much, but I think it's helped my energy levels.  I was super fatigued the past couple days, but I think that was a combination of AF/not enough sleep.  I have been nauseous on it though, especially right after I take it (when I wake up) until I'm able to eat.

Me:  Ovulatory dysfunction, hypothyroid.  DH:  Normal!
Treatment:  Levothyroxine for thyroid; starting Clomid early 2015.
    PAIF/SAIF All Welcome!
  • I also just started it a few weeks ago. At first, I didn't notice anything except feeling slightly "off" when I took it. I'm on about week three and I'm feeling definite fatigue. It's kind of annoying. Maybe it's my hypothyroid state? But I feel like I am more exhausted than I was before I started taking it. I am hoping that this will even out soon since I'm fairly new to it?
