Caffeine and breastfeeding

My baby is two weeks old and today I had one cup of coffee. It may be a coincidence but my baby has been super fussy, hungry (but eats for only 4 minutes at a time) , and awake for an extended period of time. Would only one cup of coffee have that kind of an effect on her? Has anyone had a similar experience?

    I think it's a coincidence, but I also had 1 cup a day while pregnant and while breastfeeding.

    My baby has reflux and LC said caffeine can make it act up.

    I had caffeine all through pregnancy and every day pp. My kid doesn't fuss in correlation with my coffee drinking.

    Funny, at the hospital when she was born, I walked in to the breastfeeding class with a large Dunkins coffee (my 'treat' pumpkin spice since I couldn't have during pregnancy due toGD) and you Would've thought I walked in with a crack pipe the way the LC looked at me. She went on about how bad it is and how it decreases supply etc. I felt so bad..but I've had some here and there and I have t really seen any negative effects from it.

    I've had 1-2 cups a day while pregnant and nursing 3 kids... So no, it's not going to bother all babies.
