Hi I'm 33wk2d pregnant and for the past week every time I take a shower I get cramping discomfort and it have to cut my shower short and sit/lay down and take deep breaths for them to pass by.. Does anyone else have this issue when taking a shower or know why this happens to me? My doc says it's good that my body is preparing for the big day but why everytime I shower?? I've googled it and nothing really shows up or I'm not googling the right key words.. Thank you
Really hot baths pre-pregnancy made me breathless and gave me heart palpitations. And my bath earlier did NOTHING for my BH. Maybe try turning the temperature of the water down? It's possible you are just cramping from something else (the movement to get in and out of the shower?) and not the shower itself. I dunno.
I'm with you. At times my showers have probably been too hot pre-pregnancy and sometimes even while pregnant....I'm assuming it raises my blood pressure a bit so at times I feel breathless and a little dizzy. But I never really get worried about it. And nothing helps with the BH I get, I just drink water and lay down.

I get BH when I shower too! And I'm not usually having "fun" in there either. I think it's weird. The first couple of times I freaked out because I couldn't tell if I was "leaking" or anything since I was in the shower. Now I just think it's weird and I rub my belly and try to relax...
My question is why freak out about it? If your doctor isn't concerned enough to do something than what are you going to do? I'm telling you FTM's, labour happens whenever it goddamn wants to and you can spend the next month freaking out over every little twinkle in your lady bits or you can just accept that it will eventually happen and stop agonizing over allthethings
And trust me YOU WILL KNOW WHEN YOU ARE IN LABOUR!
