I went to the doctor last Tuesday when I was 33 weeks and 5 days. I was measuring at 37 weeks, my cervix was thin, no dilation though, and I've lost my mucus plug. Is my due date wrong or is my baby just big?
I was measuring small at my last dr appointment. I asked if that was ok or should I be concerned. My dr said I was with in an ok measuent range so it was fine. I would ask your doctor about it if you feel concerned.
Please tell us that you discussed these concerns with you doctor prior to posting here. Your doctor has likely birthed more babies than all of D14 combined. So they would be the best resource for you, especially if you have any other factors to consider as part of your pregnancy (high risk, GD, AMA, etc).
It was a simple question. I'm not concerned nor worried about my child! If I was neither of you would be my source of information. Too many hormones on one post.

I don't know, "Is my due date wrong or is my baby just big?" seems to be a little bit more than a simple question.

Obviously you are concerned and hormones? Hunny please. Everyone gave logical answers, just because they were informative and not what you wanted to hear doesn't mean you can automatically blame the hormones. You also came here for a source of information, so yes you did ask for their information that they gave you.

Posts like these make me happy my doctor measures my fundal height and keeps on moving without making it a point to tell me what I'm measuring. As long as she doesn't find anything alarming and my baby looks good, there's no need for me to worry about a week + or -.
M born 1/6/09 - A born 12/31/10 - baby BOY RCS 12/2/14
If every baby measured "on track" and delivered "on time", we'd all be giving birth to 7-pounders at 40 weeks. For some reason I doubt that will happen...
These estimates are based on averages, which means that some babies are bigger/smaller and some women give birth earlier/later. These posts make me wonder if it irks some women to think their bodies aren't operating on a text book schedule. I might be type A, but I'm not so sure my ute is.
@Shortstack06 - it takes an intricate rigging of mirrors similar to a submarine's periscope function to get a good look these days. But I find it's important to maintain "eye" contact when talking to my bits.
Though it won't happen, for obvious reasons, I'd really love to see photos of the crazy trim/shave jobs pregnant women blindly manage at this point in the game. It would make a really good coffee table book.
I'm going to quote one of my favorite people here and say "My uterus is an asshole." I'm dilated, contracting and all that fun stuff but that means absolutely nothing as to when my baby will be born. I was also told I will be having a big baby. Guess who I asked my questions to. Go ahead...guess.
Answer: my doctor

Why did you not ask the doctor these questions at your appointment? I never understand these posts the doctor gave this information why not ask him/her instead of coming to post to a room full of people who aren't ur doctor!

Doesn't your doctor ask you if you have any questions at the end of your appointments? Even without being prompted by him/her, if you have any questions you should ask then or write them down and ask at your next appointment if it was an afterthought... I don't know, that seems like the logical thing to do.
Re: Measurements Off
Your baby is going to be big...Or your due date is wrong.
Stupid questions negate stupid answers.
