Hmm, ok. We're doing cloth at the hospital this time around barring any major catastrophe, and I'm trying to figure out what I want her first diaper to be.

Well, get knocked up! ...Better do it in 2018 just to be sure you'll get one though.
It's a long queue at the ITK sewing machine, huh?
Not even terrible at the moment. About 20 PBumz in the works, a few cashmere sleep sacks, some nursing tanks, Christmas PJs, and that's about it. Part of my nesting was to go through and junk like 90% of my unfinished (and never to be finished) projects.

Thanks, guys! I'll probably bring a few of each kind just in case they don't fit well under her stump, but they're already guessing she's pretty long, so hopefully they will. Worst case scenario I can always use the hospital disposables.

I left them. Occasionally they would come unsnapped during the wash cycle. Sometimes they were still damp around the snap area after washing, so I would separate it to speed drying. But I just let whatever happened, happen.

Ok, cool. I made a batch of 20 inserts, and one of them (although I knew at the time I applied it that the snap was wonky) had the snap come off, and then I got all nervous that the pressure from washing them snapped on may make others fall off.

Ok cool, just as long as you weren't all like, no definitely take it off. J never remembered any extra steps (like laundry tabs) so if I told him he had to unsnap it he probably wouldn't want to use them, and he typically does the vast majority of newborn changes.
.... Although now that I've said that, it WOULD be a great excuse for me to buy more diapers, wouldn't it?
