Hhmmmm, I'm extremely lazy today. We all slept in til 9, went downstairs slept on the couch til darn near 130. DH has been taking care of DS today. It's been wonderful. Absolutely no plans and I love it since I'm back to work and working every other weekend
It's sunny out here but freaking freezing and windy double
I'm camping out at my sister's house waiting for the exterminator to come to my house on Monday... Bug and I can't be there until all the mice are gone. This mouse problem is literally the GROSSEST thing I've ever had to deal with-- and my husband is doing all the cleaning
@withagrainofsalt I am so sorry for everything your family is having to go through. I hope that you and your dh can make a decision that both of you can agree on whether it be a vasectomy, adoption, OAD, etc. Just know you are in my thoughts. You have every right to hibernate. (Just know hibernation would be better with Halloween candy )
MIL watched R today while H and I got R's christening outfit and put in the food order for the after party. Now we're home, and I'm eating up baby snuggles on the couch and eating halloween candy. It's freezing and rainy here so we're just relaxing today/tomorrow.
H leaves for a work trip tomorrow, and he'll be gone two nights. Good news is my mom is coming to stay with us tomorrow night.
DH went to pay the rent and found out that we officially are going to have to move in a couple of months. Not only are they upping the rent on us, they are now requiring us to have renters insurance. We can't afford that right now. Moving with two small children is going to be interesting to say the least. I didn't want to do it until DD was older, but I guess we don't have a choice. Thank God for breast pumps and babysitting grandmas.
A successful day of baking followed by a wonderful hot shower . Then DH & I went to the mall with LO which was really nice. Impromptu dinner at LongHorn where LO slept the whole time & I had a steak medium rare!!! Now nursing & then a beer!
Nothing too exciting happening here. We went to Toys R Us today to get DD1 a prize for staying in her bed for 2 weeks in a row. Now I'm cooking up some creole tilapia and sweet potatoes for dinner. Tomorrow is church and football.
I'm hoping to make it to a Halloween party tonight, but our costumes aren't quite done and Z is only happy napping on my chest right now. I'm going to be really disappointed if we don't go - I didn't bother with costumes last night bc I knew we had this happening.
I finally went to the gym for the first time in over four months! I loved every minute of it and wished I could stay a whole lot longer, but mommy duties come first.
@withagrainofsalt thinking of you momma. I've followed your story from the beginning of her diagnosis. If just being the best mommy you can be to your LO, then you have the best job in the world and she is so lucky to have you as parents. Whatever you decide, I have faith your future is going to be exactly what it needs to be for your beautiful family. ((hugs))
Taking a break to pump because DD is staying at her Grandma's(I love that she gets to spend the night with Grandma once a week, and I have totally stopped crying when we drop her off!)... DH and I are rearranging our living room so our heat strips are more effective tonight.. man we sure know how to live it up when we have a baby free night.
@withagrainofsalt I'm so sorry!! That's such a big decision, so it totally makes sense to be upset. ((Hugs)) I'll pray for you while y'all make this decision. And I agree with @kaleb87 hibernate with halloween candy!! @CUBBIESMAMA3 OMG!! That's so shitty!! I hate y'all have to move. I really hope that y'all find a great place soon! Y'all will be proud of me that I took DD1 and LO to see both sets of inlaws in their halloween costumes so that no one could be left out or sad! Lol it wasn't so bad actually. At MILs house step FIL left out his knife, three guns behind the sofa, and the burner on!! WTF!!?? You knew we were coming! I saw DD1 pick up the knife, quickly passed off LO, calmly walked to DD1 and asked if she could show me what she found and took the knife!! Holy shit!! I wanted to stab him!!
@withagrainofsalt I'm so sorry about everything you are going through. Don't worry about your LO being an only child if that's what ends up happening, she will be fine. I'm an only child. I did sometimes miss having siblings as a kid, but I have such a different relationship with my mom because they couldn't have more kids. She's my best friend. We went on trips and did things we wouldn't have been able to if their had been other children.
Hide away with your candy like PPs said and bump with us when you need support!
LO and I spent a girls days at my grandma's with her, my mom, aunt and cousin. Then DH and I went on a date while my mom watched LO.
We went pumpkin picking rather late this year and it was raining on Halloween so we didn't get a chance to carve them. If it stays sunny today we're going to carve up the big one so DS can play in the pumpkin guts. I don't care that it's November already, DS doesn't know or care either. :P
DH took my little brother hunting yesterday and today, DD is really sick, I hope she doesn't have the flu. She did get her flu shot so maybe it's not that, I hate when my baby is sick DS has napped pretty much all day so DD and I have been laying on the couch watching all of her tinker bell movies bc that's what she wants to do. She's almost asleep and I'm going to wash dishes and finish the laundry before she wakes up. She cries every time I get up. Oh and time change sucks.
I went to a wedding last night and left LO with a babysitter (my SIL) for the first time. I got a call in the middle of dinner that she won't take the bottle, so we had to leave and go feed her. But I went back after she was done and had a great time dancing with my DH.
Just curious: why is everyone hating on the time change? You guys do realize we turn BACK the clocks for an extra hour, right? I appreciated it.
Because my kids can't tell time and continue to wake up as if we did not turn the clocks back an hour. No amount of explanation could convince my 2 year old that she needed to go back to sleep for another hour yesterday and today...I tried, believe me.
I used to love this daylight savings time when it meant I got an extra hour of sleep before going to work. With a toddler though, it's just an extra hour I have to be awake.
Yeah, I'm an idiot lol. I didn't even think about toddlers. My dumb baby brain can't remember a thing these days lol
