Progesterone - Keep me grounded ladies

HI Ladies, 

Can you just tell me again that progesterone mimics all the pregnancy symptoms and to not get my hopes up? It's my first time on it and while my brain knows but...well you have all been there with me.  You get excited only to get your hopes dashed and crushed.  
DS: Born November 2011
TTC #2 since April '13
DH 35, Me: 34
DX: Unexplained Secondary Infertility, Slight DOR
Sept 14 - IUI (Clomid + Ovidrel) = BFN
Oct 14 - IUI (Clomid + Ovidrel + Progesterone) = BFN
Nov 14- Benched due to cysts Looking for New Doc
Feb - IUI #3 (Letrozole + Ovridrel)
March/April - IVF #1 - Antagonist Protocol - Follistim+HGH+Low Dose HCG - 11R/9M/5F - 2 8 cell 3dtransfer - BFN on April 23, 2014

    True story, sorry. How many dpo are you?

    TTC#1 May 2009- July 2010 on our own with no luck

    Started with RE in August 2010, dx with unexplained IF and then finally our 3rd IUI cycle using Follistim and Trigger resulted in our wonderful little man.  Born 12/2/11

    TTC#2 Never really prevented, but were careful early on as Dr. reccomended

    Surprise BFP 12/16/13, started progesterone immediately as first numbers came back low, but betas were good.  Progesterone wasnt enough. Natural MC 12/24/13.

    Back with RE as of January 2014...

    5/27/14- Chemical Pregnancy :(

    April 2015 IVF#1

    5/13/15- BFP, please stick LO!

    Oh and I'm a major Harry Potter Nerd :)

    Yes, for me the prog always gives me a lot of side effects. I never really get any "symptoms" of pregnancy

    If they are symptoms, you'll get a positive test. If they're side effects, you won't! :) good luck to you!

    @designer303‌ I'm 8dpiui, two days into supplements so the timing is perfect for side effects to show up.

    @potatocastillo‌ what side effects do you typically get?

    I appreciate the feedback. Trying to ignore the body until the beta Nov 5th.

    I get bad cramping in progesterone that I don't otherwise get and then no other side effects except maybe bloating.

    Did you trigger?

    DS #2: July 2015 (preemie born at 31 weeks) - our little miracle conceived through ART - unexplained secondary infertility/adenomyosis

    @Sailorgal, Yup, I trigged on the 22nd.  IUI on the 24th.  I am super sensitive to just about any meds so I am figuring it is just that.  But good tip on the bloating! I am a bit plump at the moment :)

    A lot of typical PMS shit but multiplied with the prog. Tons of bloating, sore boobs, headache, fatigue, and even some nausea. It's probably the only med besides Clomid that gives me a lot of grief.

    LOL our bodies are so the opposite I guess. Clomid was great to me...increased sex drive and no other side effects. Progesterone makes me feel like a normal human being other than the cramping. No bleeding for 18 days straight, no mood swings, no sweet cravings etc. Letrozole is not my friend...thirsty and headaches ALL THE TIME! Thank goodness it's combined with IUI as I was never in the mood.

    @Potatocastillo, Yup, OK, we have the same reactions.  

    @sailorgal, Lucky!! I am a raving psycho on clomid and apparently progesterone too.
