Trouble TTC a Sibling

pregnancy is not a handicap

I've always been irritated by women who act like because they are pregnant they are incapable of anything.
Today my pregnant sister...idk like 7.5 months...couldn't vacuum her basement because she "too pregnant".
Meanwhile I am sweating to death from clomid, chasing a 2 year old after working an 8 hour day!!

Re: pregnancy is not a handicap

  • Oh I hear you. I can not stand weak woman to begin with. Add a hypersensitive, dramatic, lazy pregnant woman to that and I'll loose it. My friend is one and I actually can't stand to be around her right now. Last thing I want to hear is someone complain about being pregnant and the discomforts that come along with. May you should of thought of that before you wanted to at the 'pull out' method. I could be a freak but when I was pregnant with DD I wasn't overly uncomfortable. The normal aches and discomforts yes, but I ate well. I stayed in shape to an extent. It was a full blow summer pregnancy and I rarely complained. For Pete sake I was a nanny for three little girls at the time so life didn't give me the option to rest.

Sorry for venting in your vent :-)

  • Yes Dani....I get that...and would understand. ..physically there is no wrong with her. Despite 10 ER trips during her pregnancy to be told...she was fine. Also it's her 4th pregnancy. ..She's acted like this each time...I've felt with this 4 times over a span of of 10 years. This time just hits me harder.
  • I have a herniated L3 an L4 and spent the last ten weeks I my pregnancy closely monitored for Hellp syndrome that caused me to be extremely weak from 31-34 weeks. Through all my discomfort and complications I never opened my mouth and complained to anyone but DH. I was still thrille to be pregnant and can't wait to do it all again.
The friend I'm referring to however is only 25 weeks and does nothing but complain about all her weight gain and discomfort. If she had something medically going on I would know. She's just mad she's already packed on so much weight and it's made her uncomfortable. That's the diffence.

  • With DD I had debilitating sciatica for months 6-8 as well as a knee issue in the same leg. I couldn't walk without crying. I will never forget that year on Black Friday I did the unthinkable and got a motarized cart because I simply had to. A woman behind me in line thought it would be a great idea to say that I only had it because I was "fat and lazy" (she couldn't tell I was pregnant). The look on her face when I stood up and lost my shiz on her was priceless.

I can't stand lazy women in general either, but I try not to judge. Now if it were my sister and I knew she was being dramatic and lazy it would piss me off too!
