i just found a sharp little pointy tooth starting to break through on DDs lower gum. Anyone else? I'm not ready for this!!!

Re: Tooth broke through! Who else?

  • Nope, I just checked the other day and didnt feel anything.

  • I started crying. I think cause it's one of many milestones. Is this dumb? I didn't think I would get so emotional.
  • Hasn't popped through yet but DD is definitely feeling one. Poor girl has been fussy more often, grabbing her gum, wincing in pain and just wanting to be held more. At this point I just want the tooth to break through but know it could still take a few months.

  • We've had one for a couple weeks now. I wasn't expecting it so soon since his brother didn't get his first til after 7 months.

  • 2 bottom teeth. I'm thinking after last night's screaming fit, he might be getting the top tooth or both.

  • I'm not sure why, but DS's gummy little mouth kinda freaks me out so I just don't check. I just ask the pediatrician each visit. Nothing as of last week.

  • Yeah, DD has had her bottom two since 4 months but nothing since.
  • P had two break through at 5 months, 3 days. Ridiculously early! Now he's leaving teeth impression on everything he chomps on. Including my nipples.
  • Wow! Ok, so I'm definitely not alone. FTM here and I just didn't expect it so soon. DD is a fussy, non-sleeping little thing, but she always had been. I had no idea it could take months to come through. Oh yeah, and I'm so scare for my nipples.
  • Nothing here! I thought I while ago that I could seem them under the gums but still nothing yet. She bites me good enough with her gums though...not sure I am looking forward to the teeth! Ouch!

  • We have two sharp things that appeared 2 weeks ago. Those suckers hurt! I'm not looking forward to more daggers coming through.
  • No teeth here. I love her gummy smile. I'm not ready for her to have teeth. I know they're getting close though.
  • No teeth yet. But DD has two very red raised spots on her lower gums with little white spots..

  • 2 teeth at 3.5 m...I couldn't believe it!

  • @PattyTC - I used to let DS take my fingers and gum them, now with his two bottom teeth... he actually drew blood a few days ago. My fingers are not going in that mouth anymore.

@mollynicole214 - I used to think the same thing! I used to tell DH I loved my little toothless! Now that he has his two bottom teeth, it's even cuter!
This is what I constantly worry about in regards to my nipples. Ouch!
  • Those LOs with teeth, are you using any particular teething tablets or gel? I've been trying to research, but many of them are controversial due to the different ingredients they use.

And baby toothbrushes? Do you brush without toothpaste in the morning and at night? Or just at night? Or not at all?? Lol inquiring minds want to know....or at least just me.
Oh gosh, I hadn't thought about this. Should I be starting this?
  • LO just got his first tooth this Monday and he has been a bear ever since. Poor little guy. :(

I'm not too sure brushing their teeth is necessary yet, but I did buy DS this teether that doubles as a tooth brush kinda thing. This is actually his favorite teether. I wish I would have discovered it when he first started teething.

Ah, yes I've seen those! May have to pick one up. Thanks!
