Names for Ur babies :)

hiya ladies
Anybody willing to share what Ur little angels names are going to be (if U hav thought that far).

Our little one is definitely going to be named Hunter. We are just fussing over his second name now because I would really love it to as beautiful as I consider my first childs to be. I love Everett but I'm so worried over the initials - our surname begins with an E so his initials will be "HEE". Do u ladies think this is mockable? I really love the sound of Hunter Emerett.

Looking forward to see Ur ladies names for Ur gorgeous sweethearts.

For the love of...your, you, have.
I don't put too much thought into the initials, although some people do. When you monogram it will look fine.

There are quite a few baby name boards. Use the search button and you'll find plenty of other threads of bumpies sharing their names.

Edit-because it's too late to be thinking and typing.

  • @MOtownMama‌, my son (big David the Gnome fan) would be quick to point out that that is a gnome, not a troll [-X

David the Gnome! I remember that show!

Dude. YouTube. That is the best kid show EVER! So calm and happy. We love it!
  • Andplusalso, I carved all by myself.

  • Yep, cos pumpkins don't need names
  • I have been trying to find pumpkins here, but to no avail. And they really also only do some small trick or treat party kind of stuff for the kiddos, not a big thing for us growed-ups. No Halloween for me this year...... sad face.

    Nice gnome carving, mama!!

My stepson's mom won't give him his father's last name solely based on his initials.. which are BAD. and probably because she is a little crazy.

  • I feel like everyone is going to have an opinion on a name one way or the other.  If it's a name you like go for it.  What does it matter what a bunch of people on the internet think?  As long as you and YH/YB like it, go for it!

My married initials are MMM. It's caused some confusion in filling out paperwork in the past.

"Ma'am we meant your last initial."
    "That is my last initial."
A little later: "fill out your name with middle initial and then initial where indicated".
"Um, ALL of your initial are M?"
  • Our front running name would give the LO the initials EFG hehehe
  • My friends baby's initials are PPD

  • If I gave my daughter a middle name with an A with our frontrunner name, her initials would be VAG :|

  • My initials growing up were REM, I always feared putting those on my LL bean backpack afraid kids would think I was a huge REM fan freak...
  • OP never even came back. Guess she really didn't really want to hear everyone else's names.
  • Good friend's DD has the initials SAK. Which wouldn't be so evident if they didn't monogram everything ...
  • I've been thinking about initials too. Our last name is Urban. So if we named him Frank it could be FU. Or for more fun we could say Franklin Nathaniel (FNU). Or Peter (PU) or maybe Isaac Casey (ICU). ;)
  • We don't know gender yet so, Annabelle Grace or Kevin Paul.
  • I went from LAD to LAB. My daughter is HEB is my son will be MOB. I feel his will be appropriate as an Italian boy from jersey.

  • My initials are JSV and our baby's will either be AKV or OBV depending on sex.

we had our first names chat last night. we are really aligned with our front runners so thats good. for some reason i don't wanna share though. it feels like so much pressure!

We're right there with you! We may not share our name until the baby is here. It's such a big decision.
  • Our oldest is the only one of us with cool initials if you drop the middle initial since he's a Junior, his are PB&J

Mine are RLB... that sounds like Dr.Zoidberg hocking up a loogie...

  • Before getting married my initials were MLS. There was a nerdy guy in high school whose email address was ilovemls@yahoo.com or something like that. In typical teen girl fashion I freaked out because I didn't want him to have a crush on me. Turns out, he was just a big fan of soccer.

Also, my dad used to (affectionately) tell me my initials really stood for "Mean Little Squirt."

This was meant to be a reply to someone's comment and it clearly didn't work out as well as I had hoped.

(Still getting used to this thing)

Ladies ladies ladies..... My oh some grammar nazis in the house! I have typed this without any abbreviations for your sensitive and hard-to-please eyes. However, I am quite amused how you are "okay" with a person abbreviating "darling husband" and the like, but not okay with the abbreviation of "you", "have" and "your". Nevertheless - for the lady so worried about my age - I can assure you. I am not 13 years of age. I am married, and already have a child of 2, and I am close on 27 years old. I am not so sure what my age has to do with anything when the thread posted is about naming babies..... But there you have it. Rest easy.

Thank you ladies for your opinions regarding the initial saga. And for sharing your initials with me, and those of your children and husbands, etc. You have all made me feel heaps better and we have decided to go with Hunter Everett :). I think I was overthinking it.

And thank you to the one lady who graciously gave me her opinion about not liking my name choice. No offense was taken - and I appreciate your options. But while I appreciate it, I just wanted to make it clear that I really like the names and was only really worried about the initials.

  • Thanks for Ur suggestions. That's okay that U don't like the names together but I personally love them. Just been thinking about initials.

Is it really that hard to spell out your and you?
