Still let her nurse. IMO they're too young yet to try and "teach" them to cope in other ways. Right now all they know is eat, sleep, and mommy. I don't want her to think I'm not there to comfort her until she's old enough to understand there are other ways.
But my DD also doesn't comfort nurse very often...if she did a lot more, I might have a different tune...
DD doesn't comfort nurse much. I let her go until I need to do something else. Most of the time, she's sleeping so doesn't notice when I cut her off. She does take a pacifier, so sometimes I'll pop it into her mouth.
When DS was a baby, he liked to comfort nurse. I let him whenever. He wasn't much of a pacifier kid past 3 months.

DS doesn't nurse to eat a full meal, mainly because he's too impatient, but he will nurse right before bed. We get in the rocker and put him on to sleep. I don't try comfort nursing any other time because I don't want to confuse him.
I really don't like comfort nursing. I learned early on that it made me feel unhappy about BF so I don't do it often. Usually if I snuggle him really close and give him a paci it is a good compromise for both of us!
Re: Comfort nursing
Did he take to the pacifier right away? Sounds like you and I are on the same page

He loves his paci and is just as happy to suck on that as me (except when hungry of course)... He's loved it since the hospital!
