Winter Car Seat Cover Rec

I'm in Ohio so I'm pretty far up North, but does anyone who lives even further North have any recommendations for car seat covers they have started using already? I'm still using the old blanket trick, but last year we had stretches of days in the negatives and I don't want any of that frigid air getting on my LO.

I'm in upstate New York, right on Lake Ontario. It gets frigid here in the winter. With DS1 we used a JJ Cole Bundleme and when it got crazy cold added a car seat canopy. It worked great. Hope that helps!

I haven't used one yet but these are the two I'm considering purchasing. Just be sure you are only buying one that goes OVER the seat. Anything that goes under the baby is a safety hazard in an accident because it prevents the straps from tightening properly.

I second the cozy-cover. A friend gave me one that is fleece on the inside. DS rubs his hands on it and it keeps him pretty toasty without a blanket in there. When we go out to the car I put a blanket over the hole part since it is about six inches above his face... he can still breath and he's kept out of the wind from the house to the car.

I'm in the cozy cover group as well. We live in Indiana and I used a cozy cover for DS and have already used it a few times wi DD. That's one of my go to gifts for baby showers actually! I just used it today since its in the low 40s.

I'm a bit south of you, but I have a cozy cover as well. If it gets stupid cold I'll put a blanket over him under the cozy cover.

I've already used it a few times when it was raining and in the 50's.

I bought a homemade one at a craft fair that covers the whole seat and has a small flap for the face/air to go through. She likes it, seems easy to put on/take off and I can put a blanket under there too for extra warmth. Love it!

I will be the outlier here - we just used a fleece jacket and a wool blanket with ds1 (January baby) and do the same with DS2. We are in Massachusetts. DS2 is already close to the height limit on his infant seat, so I expect to transition him to a rear facing seat by January. I'm not in the market for more accessories for a device we aren't going to use much longer.

We have a Cole Bundle Me too. I'll use a blanket on him when needed but will also use a thick footed/hooded onesie when need be. I don't plan on having him outside for any amount of time during the winter except for traveling.
