Both babies woke up ridiculously early. I gave up trying to get them to go to sleep and am letting them play with all their loud toys in hopes that it wakes my husband up.
I bought a dress for their birthday party. And it has foxes on it to go with the woodland theme. I'm probably too old and/or not hipster enough to pull it off, but if it fits I'm wearing it anyway.
I get so excited when there are new diaper prints in my honest order. So excited that I will open a new pack of diapers even if I already have one open.
Lame, I know but posted it because I do feel a little guilt each time I do it.
Can't figure out the signature thing, so here's the short, short version.....first daughter born on November 10, 2013. She was conceived through the magic of IVF after 2+ years of TTC.
I feel so much pressure to write on all the Happy Birthday posts but...if I have NO clue who you are or hardly interact with you? I'll love tit the post but...that's it.
I got in a kids face yesterday at gym daycare when he put my baby on top of tunnel and LO fell off and busted his frenulum.
I'm pretty sure Big Kid won't ever be touching my baby again. And I don't feel bad about it.
We are totally going to be "that house" tonight. We won't be home from Trick or Treaters but DH insists we leave a bowl of candy outside. Here's the sign I'm putting on our door (no, I'm not kidding):

I should probably call our insurance company to see what the coverage on egg damage is now.

I was kind of feeling smug earlier in the week. We let A try some new foods we wouldn't normally let him have as birthday treats. He tried frozen yogurt, but only wanted the blueberries. He had Mac and cheese with broccoli, and only wanted the veggies. He had a banana muffin and apples, and only wanted the fruit. I'm thinking, oh good, look at that, he only likes the healthy stuff. Then we let him try a little pizza, and he destroyed it. I mean, practically inhaled the thing in no time at all. Serves me right.
S hates having his diaper changed. Especially poopy ones. There are full blown tantrums every time I put him on the changing table. So sometimes, if I smell a poopy diaper while he's happily playing, I put off changing him for 10-15 minutes to delay the tantrum and enjoy some more happy play time.
#1 I'm getting off early today and I'm going to work in the yard and clean the house before picking up LO at the normal time. I really need to get my plants in the ground before it freezes tonight. And I'm going to enjoy not worrying about what health and safety hazard LO is engaging in every 15 seconds.
#2 I'm considering getting an alarm clock for LO's room because I wake up better for him than I do for my own alarm because he has no snooze button. I wish I could get out of bed earlier and let him sleep l, but I'm such a lazy ass. This sounds like an asshole thing to do, but he is a terror if I try to get him up and out the door. He does much better when he gets up and has time to play.
#3 Whenever possible, I flush public toilets with my foot. I can't believe toilets weren't designed this way in the first place. Maybe I don't know that much about toilets, but I feel a lot of pubic health concerns could be curbed if we all used foot-flushers.
I had a hard time deciding between the fox and raccoon. I like blue better than orange, but foxes better than raccoons. H loves his stuffed fox, so I went with fox. So there is another FFFC. I picked a dress based on what stuffed animal my son likes.
@SV917 That dress is so adorable. I am partial to the raccoons, but the fox is great also. I hope it fits, that will be so precious to have an outfit that matches the theme. I would order one but if I wear something with a neck that high my boobs look 12 miles long.
Lollipops don't expire, right? Because I'm passing out last years candy to any trick or treaters we get (usually not many which is why I still have the same bag of lollipops).

AF is on its way and DH and I probably won't get to DTD before it comes...so I took the liberty and helped myself last night...
