I was looking at my homepage, and I just glanced down and thought it said, "Your baby is the size of an elephant." Geez, no wonder I feel like my belly has grown so much this week!
Went to get a cinnoman brown sugar pop tart this morning ( my ritual for the past 2 months or so). And they're all gone!
Also I was talked in to a flu shot since my family has been sick, each person was sick for almost a month with the flu. I haven't had a flu shot in I don't know how long. I don't have my son get them either.... That thing hurts. Feels like I got punched in my arm about 10 times.
I'm at my 30 week appt. I can't wait for it to be over so I can go to wawa and get my egg white/turkey sausage/cheese bagel sandwich that has become my ritual breakfast after each appt. HUNGRY!
Lol @Maebb elephant. Yeah feels that way when he's super active.
Well, I think Google is sending me a free replacement for my phone. I don't mind paying for it or repairing it. We never buy insurance on this stuff, but mama is buying a case for sure now.
Coffee!! I can't find anyone who sells DD blueberry. I wanna try it!!! (
@FireFly3911 - Where are you looking? Go to DD and order it :P Do you have a DD there?

My 3 hour test was yesterday morning (they had to stick me 7 times to get 4 blood draws... ) but results were not in by the end if the day. I'm eating my usual breakfast of a kashi/all bran cereal mix and it has me thinking... If I have GD and can't eat this every day, I may not poop for the remainder of my pregnancy.

I looked at the local grocery stores figuring that someone would carry it. Nope. And I was closer to a DD on Wednesday and figured I'd go there as a last resort. Guess I'll be going out to DD this weekend or something.
It's an actual coffee It's not ground, beans or k-cup or anything. It's a "shot" they put into hot coffee. (i.e. I order medium black blueberry coffee when I get it).

Trick-or-treat was last night in our area. I bought two huge bags of candy because that's how much I usually need. I didn't even get rid of one bag this year. My coworkers now all have candy.
Got my first charlie horse since being pregnant. Woke me up this morning. That sucked.
In other news, there will be donuts at my 10:30 staff meeting so that's exciting. And also, my boss finally hired a new deputy director who is starting 12/1 and who will be picking up a lot of my duties while I'm out on maternity leave. It's a little scary that I'll only have the month of December to train her and she'll be learning sooo much other stuff in that time, but at least there is a plan now, so that's good.
I'm positive I'll have more randoms later. So I'll be back
Love Halloween! We have E's halloween parade at school this afternoon! Then I will give out candy and embark on my favorite tradition (this year minus the getting drunk part) Who is with me!?!? Any Hocus Pocus fans?
I was trying to wait since they say not to get your eye exam while pregnant- I have one pair of contacts left and an expired prescription. I'll be going today so I can order more!
This is me. I have one more pair of contacts. I have to call and make an appointment for an eye exam. Blah.

I've never heard this! is it just because of slight vision changes? I have been to the eye doctor at least 30 times since being pregnant :S and got new glasses as well
and Happy Halloween ladies!! and gent ( think we have one?)
breakfast consisted of earl grey tea and... a pumpkin spice muffin!
Last night my kids went trick or treating at the haunted university in town. and then to the bug lab where they .... played with bugs :S like giant cockroaches and praying mantis's walking stick bugs.. basically anything gigantic and nasty looking ugh! I was never so happy to be on bed rest so I didn't have to go!
tonight after trick or treating they are going on a ghost walk of a old haunted ship .... again staying home
I haven't been on in awhile, but have the day off and catching up! I have several today.
It snowed here last nigiht (like a 1/4 in) and its in the 30s....I have no interest in taking my kids trick or treating tonight.
My husband is off today too and just went to get donuts for me and the kids - yay!
I really need to go grocery shopping and I don't want to. Our fridge is literally empty. Ugh.
I LOVE Hocus Pocus and haven't seen it in years! DH has never seen it, so it's now on my list to buy at Target after work today. Sounds like a great Halloween tradition!
We were offered free tickets to the Zoo Boo tonight so I have to make a Target run to throw together a costume for DD. We have a cute halloween dress, and I was originally worried it would be too hot. Now it's going to be in the low 60s so I need to go buy her some tights (not cold enough for me, but too chilly for bare baby legs!). Crazy Texas weather.
Sorry to AW, but I just found out I passed my 3 hour!! I was so prepared to fail, whoop whoop! Bring on all the Halloween candy!!
I did fail one of the 4, so I wouldn't be surprised if he has me repeat it in a few weeks. But at least I can go on my trip next week without having to worry about it!

It will probably be on ABC Family tonight! I already have it DVR'ed but I am almost postive they play it every year!
I had a dream last night that I gave birth to a really cute kitten.
It's raining here in the PNW, and I'm kinda glad. Ds2 (who's 8 ) has decided a few weeks ago be doesn't want to go trick or treating, he'd rather pass out candy. I figured he'd change his mind, but nope. ... And I'm OK with that. I really didn't want to walk in the rain anyway. Now I can just relax and have him man the door handing out candy! WINNING!
I bought this super cute cardigan yesterday on a whim without trying it on.... Ugh it fits horribly and now I hate it and I can only exchange it for store credit. FML, seriously I'll never buy anything else in that store! Lesson learned. Try on stuff before you buy!
I walked around Main Street with the boys trick or treating with my 4 year old's preschool class yesterday. Then walked all around Walmart grocery shopping last night. By bedtime, I was pretty sure one of my legs was going to break off at the hip.
So, since I posted about this before, I will follow up.
I thought my bladder infection (asymptomatic bacteriuria) was gone, since I tested it 2 nights ago with a pee strip and it was clear. I bought another pack of pee strips the next day to continue testing... just in case... and I'm so glad I did, because yesterday night it came back BRIGHT PINK. No symptoms, still. I finally got my prescription filled this morning and I am now fully on antibiotics.
I've never had a UTI before (or at least any that required antibiotics) and I was a little skeptical with the whole no symptoms thing - but after some research, apparently 40% of asymptomatic cases develop into kidney infection, which would mean I'd have to be hospitalized/risk the health of my baby.
So yeah. PSA: trust your doctor, don't be dumb like me.
DH and I have decided to have no sweets/desserts starting Nov 1-Nov 26 (our Thanksgiving day). He's gained some weight and I know I'm the one to blame so I decided to do some sacrificing to help him get back on track. Sweets is definitely our downfall. I'm secretly (okay, not so secretly) hoping we don't get many trick or treaters so I can eat my weight in candy tonight.
I'm not looking forward to tomorrow though since we usually get donuts and kolaches after our long run. Sigh.
I think this is a great idea - I might join you! My DH will definitely be on board, but it will be a serious struggle for me. I've definitely been using the occasional soda/ice cream/cookie/brownie to boost my energy and get me through the day. I try to limit myself to one sweet thing per day, and stick to that pretty well (okay, I lapsed a lot with free Halloween candy lying around all the time) but I think it's time to reduce. Might try cutting back on granola, pasta, and sugary cereals as well. Gotta up the veggie/protein intake! Good luck!
I adore my husband for stopping and getting me donuts after my 30 week appointment this morning. He then thanked me for not having any weird, off the wall cravings or for making him get me ice cream at 2am.
January '15 January Siggy Challenge: Newborn/Baby Fails
My parent's house, in a nice neighborhood, has had, maybe, 5 trick or treaters, total, over the past 3 years. They never thought they would miss handing out candy, but are starting to wonder where the hell all the children are!

Also, I really wish we had trick or treaters! Sucks to live in an apartment building on Halloween, trick or treaters are my favorite.
You don't get any?! I lived in a building and we got loads, especially in my aunts building in the city.
Nope! This our first year in this neighborhood though, so we could be surprised. I think there is a big event on a nearby avenue, though, so most kids will be going trick or treating store-to-store down the avenue, maybe stopping at individual townhouses on adjoining streets for candy.
@VioletGjoni I am a working pregnant woman who did not take a shower this morning. And I never wear makeup or do anything to my hair. Commuting is the worst part, for sure. Commuting and mustering up any enthusiasm for work whatsoever.
All I want to do is eat, sleep, take a bubble bath (maybe I should make DH scrub the tub down really well so I can), read books, watch Netflix, knit things (even though I kind of suck at knitting despite my best efforts), bake things, and sleep again. MAYBE like ONE walk to the park every day. Sigh...

I am in BK too and I don't get any either. I've lived in this apt for 4 years and not even 1 trick or treater in all those years. Sad!! I've been out in a different part of the neighborhood before though and I think they go more to the single family brownstones and not to the multiple apartment brownstones. Could be fun to take a walk tonight to see all the cute kiddos!

Eggplant. Ha.

Days before halloween: nice weather, sunshine, nice weather, nice weather.
On Halloween: all the RAIN!!!!

I bought proper apple cider at the grocery store, and based on the movement happening right now, I would say little man loves it.
