Growing out of infant carrier! Help

We just bought our new car seats and I can't sleep trying to figure out how to get the kids in and out if the car without the infant carriers.

You have to leave one in the house while you fiddle trying to get the other in or out the car.

Our community centre doesn't have a ramp. I am trying to figure out how to get the kids to the drop in play group. And that is just down the street.

I know this has been worked out. But how do you do it?

Do you have a garage?  I think putting them in the convertible car seats is just as easy as the carriers because they were too heavy for me to carry alone.    Yep, I leave one upstairs while I buckle one it and then run and grab the other one.

To get to or from anywhere, I always use the stroller.  But I always have.  I ditched the snap and go around 4 months anyway.

Someone people wear one.  I never did that.

D & L are here at 34 weeks 4 days by vaginal and breech delivery on 11/19/2013
Two healthy boys weighing 4 lbs 15 ozs and 4 lbs 5 ozs.  Only 6 days in the NICU and getting bigger, stronger and cuter every day!

I left them in the carriers until they could walk well. We don't park in our garage, but do park in our driveway.

I get them both outside (standing/walking) and then lock the door. They follow me to the car. I stand one on the floor in the passenger seat with the door closed while I buckle the other in. Then I buckle the other in.

When we get to our destination, I will leave them in the car to go get a double cart. And then unload. Or will I just carry both.

I couldn't wrap my head around the logistics of two non-walkers so I waited until they could stand and it's really not bad once you do it once or twice.

I had the pack n play set up by the door.  We have a detached garage.  So I would place one in the PNP take the other one out to the garage and buckle them in, then return to the house and get the other.  I did the reverse when we came home.

As for going up steps, I would pull the stroller up the steps.  So the kiddos were facing out to the parking lot/street while I was walking up the steps.  I had a SBS stroller- a Combi twin sport.  I am sure you have seen delivery people doing something similar with hand carts.

I run them out one at a time as fast as I can when I'm alone and then into the stroller when we get to where we are going. If it's down the street maybe you can just walk them in the stroller? I'm surprised they don't have a ramp I wonder what handicapped people and older people do.

I love the idea of the pack n play by the door!
