Alternate ways to spell Mekhi?

My Dads middle name is spelt McKay, however he's from Scotland and it's pronounced Mekhi there...if we have a boy I want this to be his first name, I was hoping for some ideas on an alternate spelling of Mekhi

    Thanks everyone, but I really want McKay to be the first name, it's just that with out the Scottish accent it's pronounced how it looks, I was hoping to get some ideas on a different way of spelling Mekhi, because that's how it should sound, I'm just not crazy on the spelling lol

    I think the most logical thing to do and the only way to truly honor your father is to go with the McKay spelling and correct people on the pronunciation. It will be annoying when meeting people for the first time, but people will pick up on it and will learn how to pronounce it correctly.

    Anything else will look like a made up name with a made up pronunciation.

    I agree that if it's to honor your dad you should spell it McKay because that's the spelling. Mekhi, even if it has the same pronunciation, has such a very different background. I also agree that any other spelling to going to look really made up.  I also think it would be much better in the middle name spot.
