I'm not sure what area of cosmetology you're in, but perhaps go to salons and beauty shops and see if there's anything they're getting rid of or would like to donate? That could be a start.

I thought for sure this was a joke or an AE because we just talked about how awful personal GoFundMe requests are in the UOs. Then I realized that was on a different board...
Now some actual advice - aside from don't barge in on an established community asking for money. Since it's not a huge amount you need, maybe a few changes like reducing your cellphone plan, canceling cable, clipping coupons etc would help you save up in a few months.
I'm sorry you are in a tough financial situation. I've been there and it's not easy. I don't think this is the right approach but I wish you lots of luck and I hope things turn around for you.
Financial hardship sucks. We all go through it at some point in our lives I feel. Reaching out to complete strangers for donations probably isn't the way to go about it though. Have you looked into Dave Ramsey to see if there's anything you can do in your budget to help cut costs?
