January 2015 Moms

First name decided! Help with middle name....

So, I've always wanted the name Alexandra if I had a girl, but it was vetoed for my first DD by my ex-husband. So, this time around, my DH and I both love the name, so we are sticking to that for her first name. He told me at first that he wanted to use Joelle for the middle name, because his maternal grandfather's name was Joseph, and his mom was named after him (Josephine). I think Alexandra Joelle does flow nicely, but I'm not super excited about the middle name and I'm just looking for more ideas. Last night, he came up with Jael (I don't like that one)...and now it seems like he just wants a "J" name, not necessarily a feminine version of Joseph. Anyway, any "J" names that will go with Alexandra that you could suggest would be appreciated.... (our last name starts with and A, if that makes a difference)   :)

  • I like Joelle, Josephine and i love Joy. Best suggestion is to look up names with the letter J and maybe look up their meanings and see which ones click. Look up a few others that are not a J and sit down with DH to see what clicks with him of the ones you picked.
  • I really like Joelle, but Joy is good too.

  • I like Josephine the best. It is long, but it's very pretty!
  • I like one syllable middle names with Alexandra. I think Jane or June would be my pick.
