My week was ok. I got my results back from my retest of my NKC and cytokines. It looks like the 10mg of pred is controlling both well. The RI is keeping our treatment plan the same, 10mg of pred, lovenox, baby aspirin and IVIG. I also just found out that my resubmitted initial RI blood work was covered! Unfortuanately the service rep for Quest completely screwed stuff up and only applied the resubmitted codes to one of my four claims from that blood work. They are refusing to fix the mistake unless the codes are resubmitted again. ::sigh:: I am working on getting the rest of the claims resubmitted.

As far as my cycle goes I am currently in the estrogen priming phase and start stims on Monday. Then we head back to the RI for repeat doppler u/s to check blood flow and get my first IVIG infusion. Then I start cycle monitoring the next monday. Everything is going to get busy really quickly.

Halloween is pretty low key around my house. I usually dress up for work and we hand out candy to the approximately 5 trick or treaters we usually have.

@Twinkie0612‌ - ugh! I'm frustrated for you! I've always thought there should be a 'case manager' RN for each cycle for stupid, annoying little things like this... I know I always pay a coordination fee of some sort, not really sure what they are coordinating when I just get a standard calendar hand out after my CD1 is plugged into it and the rest of it is my problem, but whatever....

Best of luck on this cycle. Just curious, why is she recommending IVIG if the prednisone is working?

I'm looking forward to the weekend. My H and I are going to a Halloween Party Saturday night (lol, yes on nov 1st)

I had my 2nd interview for a really great full time weekday nursing position. I got called in for a 3rd interview, but unfortunately it's not until nov 11...I was really hoping to give my notice this week. I'm required by the union to give 4 weeks notice and I can not wait to get the hell out of there!

I submitted all of my forms to Dr KK's office. I am a little stressed about IF I get this job and asking for a day off to travel for this appt because it will be soon after starting (I was told she is booking into the end of jan right now), so it might have to wait longer.

@Km672 If we were OOP for IVIG, we would probably just do the prednisone. For some reason they ordered my IVIG way back in September (I think they made a mistake when trying to verify coverage. I ended up getting insurance approval for the IVIG and since I have already hit my OOP max for the year, my insurance paid 100%. I think they meant to cancel the order, but it ended up getting filled and shipped all without my knowledge.) so since I already have it why not use it. Also I think it can help lower antibodies, so it should help with my +APA as well. If this cycle does end up working, IVIG is acutally safer than prednisone, since prednisone carries a slight risk of birth defects, although not enough to deter me from using it during pregnancy.

@Twinkie0612‌ I hope the rest of your cycle goes smoothly! @km672 I hope you get that job! As for me, it looks like our donor will trigger Saturday-today they measured the 12 biggest of 30 follicles and they are between 14-16. I'm really nervous for everything to come together.

When I left bedside nursing and started working in an office, I had the same concerns. I found that in the office setting it's not hard to get time off. I hope that you get your new job and they are flexible with letting you have time off for you MD appts!! Good Luck!!

@KM, GL with your third interview? Out of curiosity what exactly will you be doing for the company? Is it a surgical center, Dr. Office, or a business office for a healthcare company?

AFM: I have another follicle scan tomorrow. I’m feeling a little numb these days. I’d be good either way if I’m canceled or if we move forward with retrieval. I am starting to think that it’s a waste of time to use my eggs. And I am really interested in a shared DE cycle using DS. I really have no idea how much a shared cycle at my clinic costs, but I’ve been thinking about this a lot. I am tired of the roller coaster and I want to get off it.

No Halloween plans for me. I bought tons of candy a few times and had only like 4 doorbell rings. Of course, last year I didn't buy candy and kept my lights off and people kept ringing my doorbell. Turns out DH left the garage door open, but still I thought the rule was no lights no candy. Tonight I'll make sure the door is closed and lights are off. I thought about hanging a sign on the front door "No hay trico tri" thanks to a friend's FB post. lol

We are moving along one step at a time with our DE+KK cycle. It has been so busy, and next week is going to be even busier... RE b/w Monday, rheumy follow-up Tuesday, RE lining check & KK b/w Wednesday, fly out to Chicago Thursday, KK Friday. Our donor starts stims this weekend. FX for it all!

Much to my DH's disappointment, I'm doing nothing tonight. He wants to go out and do something festive. No thanks! I'm exhausted and have been looking forward to a night of doing nothing.

Update on me: I trigger tonight for my ER of my lone follie on Monday!! Sperm has been ordered. I really didn't think I was going to make it to retrieval. As of this morning I'm cautiously optimistic.
