Hello ladies,
LauraO11 has talked highly of this board so I thought I'd intro myself. I'm looking for a place to fit in, where others are going through similar situations as myself. I'm 28, DH is 34 and we have a handsome and funny little man who is just over two and a half.
We've been TTC for almost a year (in November), and have had two late missed miscarriages since. Both were at approximately 15 weeks, detected at 19 and 18 weeks respectively, at our routine appointments. The first loss, we were told was most likely an accident, a fluke, a bad luck, since we'd had such an easy, text book pregnancy with our son. We were put on a two cycle wait, and luckily (or so we thought) got pregnant the first month trying after that. This second loss, which occurred last week, unfortunately didn't come as much as a surprise, as my gut feeling over the loss never fully recovered and although I was optimistic and as positive as could be given the circumstances, I just felt like deep down, I wasn't going to have that happy ending *this time*.
Like many of you, I was hoping to have about 2-3 years between the first siblings, and I was also hoping to have three children. Now, we're going through all the bloodwork, post mortem and potentially genetic testing. I'm thankful to have an OB who's willing to do what I feel must be done, but I am worried we won't get answers like many ladies who've had recurrent losses, especially later ones.
That's me, thanks for listening and I hope you all will have me.
