I have a hysteroscopy scheduled next week. Dr told me to take 800mg Ibuprofen 1hr before. I'm nervous about putting a camera through my cervix. Googling brought up explanations that included anesthesia...and I'm not having any. They scheduled as an "in office" procedure, like no big deal. Anyone want to share their experience?
I had one but was sedated because I was also having cysts removed. Sorry can't offer any advice in your situation but wanted to wish you luck. Maybe you could ask your doctor to prescribe you some Valium to take before? You wouldn't be able to drive yourself to or from, but it could help the process. (((hugs)))
I've had an HSG, 3 IUIs, and a hysteroscopy and the scope was probably the easiest of the 3 (not that any of them were bad.) I did have ibuprofen before, and no sedation or anesthesia. It was quick and almost completely painless. Not everyone gets the same experience, but hopefully this provides you some reassurance! Edit: because big sciency spelling words

I had a hysteroscopy while under anesthesia because I was getting a laparoscopy at the same time, but originally the doctor planned to do it as an in-office procedure and wasn't concerned at all. Good luck!

I had one and the actual procedure was super easy. My Dr mentioned I might have shoulder pain from the gas that they put in...and boy did I! Like for days! Basically I sat up and walked out too fast. It wasn't harmful in anyway, just super annoying. Good Luck!
Re: Hysteroscopy?
I'm so glad! Thanks ladies
