Welcome to gerbies (Christine) to the board! After 2 prior preemies, she and DH have decided to get back on the TTC journey. Addison was born at 23 weeks and 5 days due to unexplained PTL and she passed away 2 days later in the NICU. Kellen was born at 30 weeks and spend 50 days in the NICU as a feeder/grower. He is now 4 1/2 years old and doing great! She was given progesterone shots and monthly/bi-monthly ultrasounds to check if IC was the culprit. No change in Cervix noted nor was any infection noted in pathology reports after each birth.
Welcome Brummy14 to the board! DD1 and DD2 were born at 29w3d due to PTL and PROM. She and DH are starting to TTC after MFM visit in mid November. AF came on her own for the first time in 5 years, but stopped completely 2 months ago.

PhillyGal34: Had anatomy scan and baby is measuring 4 days ahead! Getting more anxious as she is nearing her previous milestone. How did you/are you guys deal with the anxiety?

Thank goodness that I reached 39 weeks and even had to be induced. I count my blessings everyday that she came on time and we didn't experience the NICU the 2nd time around, but I have no plans on ever dealing with that EVER again. lol! FYI, I started anti anxiety/depression meds about 2 months ago and it has helped a lot. I definitely had some underlying issues regarding anxiety stuff so I am sure that didn't help.
Don't be afraid to lean on DH and making sure you also pamper yourself whenever possible. I am sure those 2 alone will help a lot. If you have any friends that you can talk to at all and will understand, that should help as well! Also, we are always here for you to vent about anything.
I woke up to significantly less movement then usual on Tuesday morning, OB's office asked me to get monitored in L&D. I was having consistent but not painful contractions about 10-12 min apart, there's lots of movement once I got to L&D, however, they were not able to detect any fetal breathing via the US for 30min. Combined with a favorable cervix at 3-4cm, the docs recommended that I stay to be monitored and induced. Got to the labor room around 1pm, doctors broke my water around 3:30pm, contractions became painful and about 7min apart. at 5pm I am still at 3-4cm but contractions were becoming stronger and closer. At 6:30 the pain became so intense I asked for the epi, but my nurse was busy helping my next door neighbor with her epi. Finally a different nurse came in around 7pm and I had felt the urge to push, nurse checks and I was crowning and 8.5cm. Then they asked me to not push till the doctor rushes in, and baby girl was born with 2 pushes at 7:19pm.
Crazy fast delivery with no time for any drugs and no tear, couldn't ask for a better outcome.
