Stay at Home Moms

Introduction :)

Hello, just thought I'd stop in and say hi. I'm going to be a FTM in January (yay!) to our little man and will be a SAHM. I'm working retail part-time right now but am having some problems with my blood sugar and iron levels so I will be putting in my two weeks this Friday. :( I'm kind of sad, it will be a weird transition. I have worked for the majority of my life since I was 16. We lived in Guam for two years where I worked part-time off and on and then started my own business. We got pregnant right before we moved back home and I started working. I'm really excited about staying home with our son though. My mom was a SAHM until I was 15 and I loved it. She did too, so I'm happy to be able to be there for my son.

I hope you don't mind if I lurk more than post currently as I am still pregnant so I am not sure if I'll have much to offer. :) I'll be a little more active in about 11 weeks, lol!

Hot ;) Just kidding...well not really cause it was a tropical climate year round but we got used to that really fast!! Two years was a bit too long but it was gorgeous and I couldn't get enough of the sunsets over the ocean! Or, being able to swim in the ocean on Christmas :)

I bet! Are things more expensive due to it being an Island and having to have everything imported or did you notice any cost of living differences?

I hope I'm not being too nosey, I'm just so interested as I've never lived outside of the US. :)

No worries! :) Things are CRAZY expensive there...and it's hard to get fresh stuff in the stores. Luckily, we are military so we could shop at the stores on base for most of what we needed. You get used to living without, I guess. I did miss being able to run to Target or Wal-Mart for things I needed. There were also a lot of tourists (the Japanese loooove to vacation there for some reason lol) at the K-Mart so you never wanted to go lol.
