I'm trying to look through job postings and apply while A is gone with my mom. But I start to feel so overwhelmed and have no faith I'm ever going to find anything. The job market here sucks ass...unless you're an engineer, rocket scientist, computer specialist or nurse. I hated my last job but at least I had one. Thank you stupid motherf*ckers for closing our office.
Sorry. Rant over. I'm thinking about shutting the computer down and crawling back into bed...

Okay, I know you're just venting, but that attitude carries over and leaks into cover letters, interviews, phone calls....you need to some how turn it around, focus on your strengths and good reasons on why someone should hire you.
And be real about it. Are you missing some experience or skills that are important to your career? While you're not working, now would be the time to consider looking at filling those gaps.
Network. A lot of it - especially now during tough times, alot goes in to who you know. Are there colleagues and former co-workers, managers, etc. that found or have jobs? Tell them you are looking. And STAY POSITIVE. Never show anyone your negative side.
Right now if anyone is hiring, they are looking for good, hard working, positive, dedicated people. It is a hiring market now and they will hold out to find the best person possible and if you have a bad attitude...they will see it.
Also - I strongly believe in positive thinking. Positive thoughts bring positive results.
I know it's hard, but I agree that having a positive mind frame can help---you can do it, it will happen! I also like the pp's suggestion of giving yourself a goal each day--but make it manageable. Like, sending out 3 resumes a day, etc.
(((HUGS))) and good luck!
