LO sore throat

Any veteran moms have tips on how to make a six month old with a sore throat comfortable? She will barely swallow. She is just spitting all her saliva out instead of swallowing it and won't really eat now.

    What you just described could be teething pain rather than throat pain. Stick with cold stuff.

    Thanks. That's what I thought too but when I called the pedi about her fever they wanted to see her and said her throat was red with white bumps and checked her for strep but it came back negative so it's just viral. I wanted to try to make her comfortable.

    I know some people are ok with it and others not ok, but Tylenol or ask the doctor if a dose of Motrin will take the edge off. We had the same thing recently and while I don't think the Tylenol took away all the pain, it helped LO relax enough to get some rest. Good luck.
