It was true for me--DD's heart rate seemed to always be between 155-160. However, my sister also had the same higher fetal heart rate and ended up with a boy. I think all of the gender wive's tales are just that--wive's tales.
It's just a myth! They thought my last one was a girl seeing as the hb was so fast but nope it was indeed a boy. The heartbeat and how and where you carry the baby does not determine what it is.
It happened to be true for all 3 of mine. I'm curious to see if it will be this time as well. It doesn't apply until around 15 weeks or so. It can take that long for the hr to level out.
