LO hates being burped. She starts squealing. I hate burping her at night because she gets so worked up that I feel like it wakes her up after eating made her so sleepy. She's laying on my chest now so she can fall asleep again.
Lo is finally off my breast and passed out on my stomach. I want to put her in her R&P so that I can at least lay down but I'm too scared to move and wake her. So I guess I'll just sit here awhile longer. Also, I'm starving.
Sending healing vibes to those with clogged ducts and mastitis!
Waiting for LO to fall asleep after his middle of night feed. I thought it was happening but now he's restless. Otherwise I'm just staring at him while he breathes.
AND he just started grunting which means the 30 min poop process is beginning. Joy.
Is anyone else suddenly über attracted to their DH/ SO? I have no idea what's up with my hormones, but they just want to ravage DH all the time.
5 cycles of "TTC" - 3 intentional, 2 not so intentional. 5 BFPs. My rainbow arrived 10/15/14. TFMC 08.02.13 at 19+ weeks. Everyday I grieve for my little Olive.
In my experience, the clogged ducts I've had feel like they are mainly localized to one area of the breast, but it can be a big area. It was really painful to bf during, so I pumped to get through the worst of the pain. I took ibuprofen, used a hot compress, and massaged the area as often and as hard as I could stand it. This helped to loosen up the clog. In each case of my clogged ducts, I woke up with them in the morning (possibly after being enforced?) and after following those steps, the pain was better in several hours and completely resolved by the next day. If the area of pain on your breast is red or hot to the touch, or if you have a fever or other flu-like symptoms, then it could be mastitis and you should be seen by your md asap for antibiotics.
Up for our first night feeding of the night. LO actually slept for an hour in his crib before this. He has been refusing to sleep anywhere but in our arms these last couple of days.
Definitely cried trying to get DS to sleep around 10 but then he slept 2 hours, woke up for 15 minutes to eat at midnight then slept 2 more hours. I guess 3.5 hours of cluster feeding paid off.

My LO gets startled when I burp him on my shoulder and he's super tired, but holding him in a seated position and bouncing him on my knee usually gets a good burp out and doesn't disturb him. If anything the jiggling helps soothe him. Might be worth a try?
I just emailed a few lactation consultants. It seems like every other day breastfeeding gets so painful I cry during feelings. Breastfeeding is such a mindfuck. One day I feel like I'm doing great, and other days I feel like such a failure and I want to give up.
Pretty sure ds3 had reflux. Both of his brothers had it. It's made him super fussy unless he was upright and being held. I was hoping to wait until his one month appointment next week, but I feel like I need to make sure nothing else is wrong instead to make him this miserable.
DS is the same way, and we discovered it's because he hates when his legs are cold. The moment his legs are back in his pants or his little leg holes he's as happy as a clam.

@crawford411 Thank you. It is right on my nipple. The initial latch is painful, but then half the time the whole feeding is painful. I know his lips don't always flange out, but I try and adjust them with my fingers.

DD does the same thing on my left. Do you get lipstick shaped nipples and blanching afterwards? If so, she's just a little to shallow. Even though DD latches 90% of the time, she can get a little lazy and give me that sensation if she's too shallow. Even through it'll piss baby off, put a pinky in her mouth to break the seal and then relatch.
Yes, I do sometimes. I will try to work on latching. I guess I just don't know how to make it deeper? He gets most if not all of my areola. Maybe my angle is wrong? I will do some reading online and hopefully I hear back from an LC soon. Thank you!!
I'm taking DS for a weight check today. I told DH if he hadn't gained any weight since his last check, I would switch to formula. I'm nervous to see what the scale says.
Why does DD spit up EVERY FUCKING TIME she eats?! I can't deal with it! Went through several outfits and like 6 burp rags yesterday alone. Just fed her and no sooner set the bottle down to pick her up and burp her and she projectiles all over me. Makes me fear feeding her anymore! I miss my baby that never spit up. UGH.

Yes I thought DH is so freaking sexy when he was walking around shirtless this past weekend. All I want to do is jump his bones.
@golfingdarwinfish@MissMandyD hmm this could be the issue now that you mention it.... So in other words I'm to hurry my ass up and warm those little legs up!
