Today I finally went in for a d&c to complete a miscarriage and it went well. I'm pretty pale but feel good.
My partner surprised me with a trip away to an island and I didn't really get any post op info. they said I could have sex as soon as I felt better but I was wondering if it's smarter to stay away from swimming incase cervix is open and I get an infection. Or would I be wrong to think that. I tried contacting my general doctor but the receptionist told me to make an appointment. One I don't need. I'm just going to avoid it anyway but also interested if any one had Info. Or any other post op advice

    My doctor told me no sex for the first 2 weeks due to a risk of infection.

    I was also told no sex/public pools/lakes for 2 weeks. With my second D&C they even said no baths/showers only for 1 week. I say call your doctor to see what is best for you. I hope you and YH enjoy your time away together.

    I was also told nothing in the vagina for 2 weeks and I specifically asked about swimming because we were leaving for vacation 2 days after my D&C and my doctor said no swimming for 2 weeks too.
