So you can finally pass the pencil test.... not as awesome as you imagined is it. Here are a few things I've learned in my years as a busty gal that I hope will help you.
1) Do NOT go to Victoria Secret for a bra. They only cary up to a 38DD, I've been a 36G for years & for laughs will have them measure me; 38DD every time. Head to Macys or Neiman Marcus & get an accurate fitting.
2) Yes, past a D cup an underwire bra is necessary. Trust me the back pain & boob pain isn't worth it.
3) Sleepy Bras; I know WTF is a sleepy bra? It's a cheap sports bra from Walmart & alike that you wear to bed. They flop, they move & unless properly restrained the can make sleeping uncomfortable.
4) Pat dry. Yes, your under boob area needs some new special attention, proper drying will eliminate rashes & potential yeast infections.
5) Attack of The Sweaty Boobs. Never knew your boobs sweat so much did you? It happens to ALL of us. I use deodorant under & down the middle, some ladies swear by baby powder or corn starch, you'll find what works best for you.
6) Big boob bras are EXPENSIVE. Don't go crazy buying bras, once you know your size hunt the clearance racks & sales as your size may change through pregnancy & post partum.
Hope this helps a little bit for your new not so little boobs.

I'm so happy to finally have cleavage! It's like, I'm a grown woman now!!!
I won't complain anymore, though, that I'm one of the tiny ones... after hearing all the boob stories, better too small than too big, or so it sounds!
elomi, and anita are my favorite brands for 40G and up. I nursed my first 2 kids as a 42/44 H-J.
Elomi makes great big bust nursing bras.
Also - I would wear a no-wire anita bra and just drop the girls out the bottom for nursing/pumping too.
sometimes the band/cup proportions don't work with all underwires - I had to go no-wire for a while to be comfortable.

I got fitted at a nice lingerie store but bought the bras on Bare Necessities website. I haven't bought nursing bras yet BC I have no idea how much larger I'm going to get.
If you maintain a larger cup size postpartum I highly suggest the Enell high impact sports bra for working out. Before I found Enell I wore 3 bras to the gym; 1 underwire & 2 sports bras, still had serious bounce. It's pricey but, worth every penny.
