Let's talk about our plans for trick or treat! Are you going out? Staying home to pass out candy? What are you giving out? Do you decorate? What's your favorite thing about trick or treating?
We are going to a trunk or treat. I've never heard of that before, but apparently, it's in a local church parking lot and local businesses give out candy from their car trunks. Our neighborhood doesn't get a ton of trick or treaters, so I thought this might be more fun.
We'll be home to give out candy though. Giving out Skittles. Mostly because I don't like them so I won't eat the entire bag!
This year we decided to go out with our nieces just to walk around. They only go for about two blocks and turn around. After that we will come home and hand out candy and watch some disney Halloween movies.
My favorite part about Halloween is the candy! I am sure I will have a ton left over because we don't get too many trick or treaters. But I seriously need to get some sort of help. If I could, I would eat it all day everyday.
We're going to a festival at our local kids museum for an hour or so, and then hitting our cul de sac. We live way out in the country on acre+ lots, so we've learned that walking around the neighborhood is more exhausting than productive
We've always gone to our local firehouse (DH is a volunteer fire fighter there). We've never been home to hand out candy in the 6 years we've had our house. This year all the kids (Jenna and SIL's 3 kids) are characters from the movie A League Of Their Own. DD is a Rockford Peach as well as one of SIL's daughters, her other daughter is the opponent team Racine Belles, her son is the coach of the Rockford Peaches and FIL is dressing up as an ump. My MIL decorated a wagon to look like the team bus and will "transport" Jenna and SIL's son since they're the 2 youngest and won't walk the whole way. Actually, Jenna probably won't be able to stay in the wagon either, she'd most likely fall over or out of it! Jenna is mostly dressing up for pictures because it looks like it's going to be cold and her costume isn't exactly friendly for Fall weather.

I LOVE HALLOWEEN! We are dressing up as a family and trick or treating early - like 6 pm. We are usually done by 7 and then rush home to hand out candy. We get about 200 kids every year, and I love it! Our street is a big circle and everyone gets into it. It's like a big street party and so fun. So many fun costumes and cute kids and parents with "coffee" escorting the kids.
I hope to create a real siggy but first I need some sleep!
We're just going to hit relatives houses, and maybe the mall where SIL works. In the future we might go to my parents neighbourhood where I grew up. We live in a big neighbourhood but on a steep hill so get zero kids
were going to be taking LO to my parents, the ILs and his godparents house to show his costume off. and after we might go to the church to do some trunk or treat.
I'm super bummed. The forecast right now goes ftom 81 and sunny on Thursday to 61 with a 90% chance of rain on Friday ( I want to take my kid trick or treating and get the glory for my full size bars! !!
Ours was this past weekend! We had a huge party and it was a blast! Kids got a pretty good stash of candy and we played "adult" jenga- NOTE: DONT leave the slow cooker on high w the spiked cider in it- it will boil and cook out all the booze and that's no Bueno
I have a sneak peeeeek! I'm excited to see how cute Jenna looks in this! The original from the movie (A League Of Their Own) is on the left, the one DH and I made on the right!

I made my sister who runs a daycare throw a fake Halloween party tomorrow so that I could take R somewhere in costume. She's having the kids get dressed up in their make pretend clothes. They have their real party on Friday but me an mamosey work so poor R will miss out. I'm making the fun happen for him....er' me :P
Friday we are staying in at the new house and have no idea how many kid we're getting. A target trip is in order.
My other half us the Halloween grinch - I have fun size mars and Milky Way bars hidden in the pantry for if we get any trick or treaters.....but I will be putting a sticker over the door bell so it doesn't wake up LO after her bed time!
I have yet to get trick or treat candy, but I will tomorrow. There will be some chocolate and some fruity/gummy. We get some trick or treaters, but not a ton. I don't anticipate being "open" until the end of ToT because of bedtime.
I love, love, love having kids come to our door! Especially the little ones in costume -- it's so magical for them. I don't mind the older, less-costumed kids. At least they're not drinking or being destructive, so I give them candy and a "Happy Halloween" just the same. What I really can't stand is when a teenager is so busy on her iPhone that she can't acknowledge the handful of candy I just put in her pillowcase. But I don't say anything. Because don't want to get egged.
LO is going ToTing to just the neighbors.
I am baffled by towns that don't have ToT on Friday night. Friday night is the perfect night for ToT. Much better than Thursday or last weekend!
We will be going out on Friday night for ToT. It is mostly for DS. We will all go out probably just around the block. Then one of us will take DD home and get get to bed and hand out treats and the other will finish taking DS.
We will have a teal pumpkin on our porch, which signifies a food allergy friendly house. We are handing out Halloween shaped pretzels, pirate booty, and bags of boom chicka pop popcorn. At least any leftovers will be good for lunches and snacks and can be eaten by DS too
We go to my parents neighborhood every year. We will take Aubrey to 4 or 5 houses of the people we are close too. It's suppose to be in the 40s with rain so we will drive around lol. Then DH will bring her home for bed. I will stay with DS and finish up. He's so excited this year! I think he finally gets it at 3 yrs old!
