Weaning question

It's been about 5 or 6 days since our last feed, and I was just curious about how long it would take for the milk to dry up completely? I haven't suffered any pain or engorgment because we were down to only once a day. I did notice last night during sex (sorry tmi) that I had leaked everywhere. I also read that hot showers can cause let down. Just wondering how long it took to dry up for those of you that BF past a year, and looking for any tips to speed up the process.

    I talked to a friend that said she still has leaks. Her daughter is nine. Someone tell me she's lying.

    @TheTamedShrew‌ I would love to tell you she is lying but she isn't. I still leaked before I got pregnant with Jameson and my DD was 7. Would still get the let down feeling as well when I heard other babies cry.

    My mom experienced the same thing and it didn't stop for her until my younger sister was 14ish and I was 18.

    FFTC: I squeezed to see if milk would come out about 2 or 3 months after I weaned and some came out. No leaking though. I was never a leaker.

    My mom leaked when my sister was 4, and even then she had only nursed her for like 5 weeks. But she only leaked in the shower or bath. I am not a leaker, so I didn't leak after I stopped with G. Still going strong with the boob addict now so I'm not sure how long I will be able to squeeze and get some! I think the long term leaking is a minority!

    We were also down to once a day and I leaked a smidge for like a week after we finished. I still get the letdown twinge every now and then, but nothing comes out (not surprised since my chest looks like Screech's). Would cabbage leaves help speed things along?
