Baby fever - ear thermometer?

i remember a reason not to use an ear thermometer, but it was in arms reach, so I did. I didn't stick it in all the way but it still said 101.7/102.5

I have the regular one now but can't use it until he's done eating (high chair)

At what point do I call the doctor?

100.7 (took him out of the chair)

He's had a runny/stuffy nose for a couple days and drooling like crazy, so I'd been thinking maybe a good was finally coming through :-(

I gave him some Tylenol (do I have the only baby who seems to hate the taste of grape Tylenol?) and a bit later it was <100.
His mood is fine, still smiling, eating and playing. He's sleeping now so I'm going to be watching like a hawk tonight and we'll see how he is in the morning

You do not have the only baby who hates grape! DS will only do cherry flavor. Anything else and he spits it out like crazy!

A little better. No fever, but woke at 3:30a and wouldn't go back to sleep except in my arms, so that was fun for the rest of the morning... I set him to play in his PNP when he was finally awake and when DH picked him up (during my shower) he was shoving his hands in his mouth and pressing on his top gums. FX it's just teething (not that teething is something to scoff at). Took him to dc this morning, haven't heard anything from them....

I'll have to check out the Target brand - I had been gifted two different kinds (one grape Tylenol, and Little Remedies berry flavor) and he hates both.

I love grape, not sure how he can be my kid! (jk)

thanks all. I tried giving him cold teethers last night, but he wasn't interested.

Jenna doesn't like the grape flavor either. She spits about 95% of the dose out!
I hope it's just teething for your LO!
