Sharp pains...in a strange place

Ok, this is going to sound really odd. Last night, I had a really sharp pain that came out of nowhere.... In my vagina. I've heard of cramping and that it can be normal for the most part. I've never heard of this and was just wondering if it's happened to anyone else. It was like being stabbed for a second or two and then I felt fine. It's left me completely dumbfounded.

    I usually call that Rhino Crotch. But, I didn't have it until later in preganncy last time.

    I have had a couple of stabbing pains in my vagina, they typically are at night. It does feel like a knife and it last only a few seconds, but it's really painful. I think I had them around 8 or 9 weeks, but it was only a couple of times.

    LIGHTENING CROTCH!! Won't be the last time. Not sure why I put it in all caps, but that's what I think when it happens to me.

    Lightning crotch is the absolute worst. It's so painful and stops you in your tracks. I don't remember how early it happens though.

    I'm getting random pains all over, including the awesomely named lightning crotch. Because none of the pains are agonizing and don't last long I'm trying not to let them freak me out.

    Lightning crotch, though. Wtf man?

    My first thought when I opened this thread was "at least she didn't call it her lady garden!"

    I have yet to experience the lightning crotch phenomenon but I'm not looking forward to it.

    Been rocking this Symptom for a week or 2. (I'm 12w3d). It's random and never lasts more than a few moments- though disconcerting.

    It does feel like baby is trying to dig her way out of prison or something. Ouch.

    Doc says each subsequent pregnancy feels that and stretching and RL pain earlier. Awesome.

    I get random sharp pains in my lower abdomen right in the uterus area and I've gotten one or two in the lady garden area... Lightning crotch... Hmm. I wanna know who coined this term :D

    When I toss and turn at night I get sharp pains. I have to make sure I don't make a sudden jerk or I'll cringe of pain. That normal? Usually in my lower uterus area.

    This happens to me every night. I usually just keep a heating pad on medium on and off it and take some tyenol and drink water. Eventually it'll stop doing it at night. If you drink enough fluids

    I've experienced this horrible phenomenon for a few years before my pregnancy, but my doctors always said i was fine. I have had it a few times since becoming pregnant but have been told its normal, almost like a spasm.

    I get sharp little pains right above it. Like underwear line.. And I'm 13 weeks

    I've gotten it a few times and the pain is super super brief- I wouldn't dread it. I first felt it around 6 weeks for a split second and was sure I was miscarrying- I wasn't. That worrying was 100% worse than the brief pain. Now I get it very occasionally. And I'm glad I have a very scientific term to use when it happens!

    I'm 10w and have had this happen for the last week or so. I was concerned because I always got this "lightning crotch" (love the name) about a day or two before AF. Seeing so many of you say it's normal during pregnancy has made me feel much better!

    I get sharp cramping pains that last from a few mins to 30-45 mins. Most the time the are above my belly button area but sometimes lower. The pain can get so bad it makes me nauseous. Please tell me someone has these too:-/ dr Didn't say anything when I told him.

    Take a stool softener this helped me a lot with stomach pain. Apparently the iron in my pre natals is causing havoc on my stomach

    I've been having this same issue!! When I brought it up to the dr, she said I'm probably not drinking enough water. So now I'm being a bit more cautious about my fluid intake and haven't had this since. Hope this helps everyone's crotch!!!!
