S/O Cooking - Convection Oven

I have a convection oven. I understand it speeds cooking. I know nothing further, beyond the fact that recipes don't generally say "for convection bake at XYZ for XYZ time" so that has pretty much ruled out the convection setting for me. I used to have a countertop convection oven and loved it, but it's like a giant eraser has eliminated all knowledge regarding how that all worked. Anyone have tips?

I always forget I have the convection setting.

I think it only saves time if you're cooking something like a turkey. I've used mine once in 2.5 years. (I cook turkey breast in the crockpot and buy the big bird already cooked, lol.)
