3rd Trimester Surgery Questions

So I'm wondering if anyone else has had to have surgery in their third trimester.  I'm 30 weeks & at 28 I had to have emergency surgery to remove an ovary that had twisted & a huge cyst.  Baby was just fine after surgery & my contractions have stopped after the pain was helped from the twisted ovary. 

I have a vertical incision on my belly that is slowly healing & they didn't have to disturb my uterus at all.  The surgeons & midwife said I should be completely healed by my January 1st due date. 

Has anyone else had surgery during their third trimester? How did delivery go after you healed up? This is my 3rd pregnancy & the other two were vaginal so I'm hoping that we can do that with this baby as well.  It just hurts so much right now the thought of contractions & pushing kind of makes me nervous.

    No experience but I'd trust your surgeon and MW that you will be healed by your due date.

    I am a nurse, FTM, no experience either. I second PP. If your surgeon isnt concerned for complications in Jan, you should be fine. They tend to be very cautious d/t liability and litigations. It wont hurt when its healed. Heres hoping you have a very uneventful easy labor and delivery, especially since you already put in a bit of stress and pain with the twisted ovary....
