Rough ride-cmcookaln delivers

Short version-Josie Marie was born 10/21 at 11:08pm weighing 7lb 8oz and 19 1/2 inches.

Long version-I'm actually sitting in the ER right now with LO at home with her grandmother. It's been a long road to since 10/14. I went to the dr for my 40w though I was 39w5. The doctor said that I needed to be induced on Thursday (my due date) since I had GD. I really didn't want to deliver using pitocin but I knew there were extra risks to the baby. I decided to wait until Friday and do an ultrasound and make a decision then. Everything looked great but I talked to a different dr to get another opinion and decided to go in Monday night to start cytotec. I went in Monday morning and I had dilated enough on my own to wait until Tuesday morning to just break my water. I went in at 5am and water was broken at 8:15. I labored until 5pm and felt really good using natural pain management. I had stalled in my labor and was staying at 6cm so they decided to start pitocin. They kept uping the dosage until I got to 8.5cm and couldn't handle it anymore so I broke down and got an epidural. It was awful bc I was having contractions every minute at this point and was trying to breathe my way through them without moving. Apparently, my vertabrae are extremely close together and they struggled to get it. They finally got it and I slept for a couple of hours before I started pushing. I pushed for about 20 minutes before LO was born. I had a few tears and I don't know how many stitches. Now I'm in the ER with high blood pressure, lightheadedness, and nausea but everything has checked out fine and I'm waiting to be discharged. I CANNOT wait to get home to my baby.
