Tell me again about the cc scam and the weight loss pills? We had our cc scammed last week, and then I got a phone call from a weight loss company, then I received an anti aging serum in the mail. Wtf?

I got a package with a bottle of some kind of natural weight loss supplement. There was no packing list, so I looked up the return address and saw that others had been sent similar stuff as part of a scam. When I checked my bank account there was a fraudulent charge. I'll try to grab the return address and name listed on the charge when I can get our from under the baby again.

They hit over 20 stores in under an hour.

Luckily our bank shut it down and handled everything. But now I don't know what to do with this aging serum.

Our bank called. They read off the last transactions till we got to legit ones. Then they handle all the disputes.

So it was just the one hit? And you received a package? I just don't get it, it doesn't add up. Not doubting you or your story, confused about the scam itself. It doesn't make sense.

It doesn't make sense to me either, and I would seriously doubt the two are related except other people online had the same thing happen. When it happened to me, I found about 3 other reports. Now there are dozens.

My guess is that they are sending cheap goods so that it might be harder to dispute the charge. Some banks won't process the charge until the customer attempts to resolve the dispute with the company who sent the goods, and then you can run into the 30 day limit on reporting the charge. Anyway, it can become a nightmare. Since I didn't have anything other than the other internet stories to even possibly link the pills and the charge, I just reported my charge as fraudulent and went from there. Honestly, I had gotten so lazy about checking our accounts that I wouldn't have even noticed if the weird package hadn't come.

Oh jeez. 3 more products today. Weight loss pills, garcinia cambogia, and eye cream.

They are kind of giving me a complex.
