Any recent accomplishments you are particularly proud of?
I have made honor roll every semester so far and just recently was told that I will be inducted into a national honor society!

What has your favorite class been?
Infant and Child Development.  I took it while i was pregnant with Adeline as an elective and it has been really useful in gauging her developmental milestones!

How much longer do you have until graduation?
I should be able to complete all of my classes in just under a year but I'm not sure if I will keep on taking a full course load once juggling a toddler and an infant...it may take a little longer than anticipated!

GTKY: What was your favorite class in high school?

Either sociology or English.  The same teacher taught both of them and he was the best!

Any recent accomplishments you are particularly proud of? Nope, classes don't start back up until January for me.
What has your favorite class been? Hmm....probably one of the one's about Teacher Leadership
How much longer do you have until graduation? 3 more classes...September 2015!!
GTKY: What was your favorite class in high school? Spanish, especially Spanish III Honors, I still keep in touch with that teacher, she's the reason I teach ESL now and majored in Spanish for my Bachelor's.

  • I love this check in! I love that I'm not the only one pregnant and still getting my degree because it feels like that all the time.

    (Reminder) Your field of study:
English linguistics, TESOL certification, Minor in European history.

Any recent accomplishments you are particularly proud of?
I've made the Dean's list the last couple of semesters. Between working full time, an ectopic pregnancy/surgery and the sudden death of a fur baby all during school, I feel really proud I was able to keep my grades up.

What has your favorite class been?
This semester, probably my Modern Grammar class or Old English.

How much longer do you have until graduation? I thought I was going to be able to graduate this December but then found out I have just one more course to take in the spring. Since it's my only commitment, other than to my family and baby, I'm hoping I can pull it off. But I'm pretty nervous about having a baby at the beginning of the class and how it might effect my grades.

GTKY: What was your favorite class in high school? Anything to do with history and English. I had a really great creative writing course I loved as well.

  • @jennjilljoite‌ what school do you go to? That's what I'm trying to get into school for but I'm not sure what schools are good.

  • Your field of study: Getting my Masters in Supply Chain Management

Any recent accomplishments you are particularly proud of? I'm proud of my grades and GPA thus far. Hoping that my performance so far is good enough to carry me through the last few classes once the babies come. I know I will have zero motivation for school work.

What has your favorite class been? That's a tough question. I don't have a favorite really.

How much longer do you have until graduation? I'll graduate in August. I will take 5 credits in the Spring semester and 5 credits in the summer. God help me with a newborn!

GTKY: What was your favorite class in high school?
    English

  • @munchkin8590‌ I go to Kaplan online. It's s good program and I've had very few problems with the school except that they're money hounds. I use my VA benefits and they would call me the day after the money was due if the VA was late on paying.

  • @jennjilljoite‌ yeah I think most online schools are money hounds. I just want a legit school that won't give me the run around or take advantage

  • @munchkin8590‌ do any of your local colleges or universities offer online programs? I am attending a local university but they offer my program completely online. They also offer some hybrid programs where you can do classes online and in-person.

  • I just finished my Special Education N-8 certification. I'm now dual certified in elementary and special education. I had to resign from my position at work to complete a 6 week student teaching practicum. Now I'm subbing, hopefully I can find a position soon.

Also, waiting to finish two classes for my Master's until after LO is born and I have a FT job. My Master's will be in Educational Leadership.

I'm proud of my recent accomplishments, but I have a hard time feeling like I did anything to benefit my family. I know it will eventually benefit us, but right now we're struggling.
  • @WanderingA yes there is one school that offers an associates in the program I want, but I'm having difficulty with them just finishing my application. I have a friend that currently goes there and she hates it so I'm starting to look elsewhere :/

  • @munchkin8590‌ Kaplan is quick and easy as long as you meet application requirements. They're also regionally accredited.

GTKY: What was your favorite class in high school?

  • All I have to say is you all are amazing and I'm super proud of all of you! We were just starting to toy with the notion of me going back for my master's in occupational therapy ( BS psych here) when I got my BFP. That got placed on the back burner quickly. Keep up the fantastic work ladies!!
We're HUGE fans of OT in our house! Such a difference the days DS gets his vs. the days he doesn't! Good luck when you get to start it! The world can always use more kick ass OT's  :x
