**November Angels Check In (October 27, 2014)**

This is a weekly check-in for those who have lost an angel with a November EDD. If you would like to be added to our group, please reply to this message with your EDD and date and stage of loss. Please also tell us a little bit about yourself and your TTCAL journey so far. Those with loss dates in November are also welcome. As time goes on, it is only to be expected that there will be graduates, which means that there will at times be BFPs listed here. On weeks when we do have a BFP to celebrate, you’ll see a warning at the top of the page, which is provided so you’ll have the option of scrolling past the announcement if you need to. If you do get your BFP, please PM me so that we can congratulate you appropriately in the next check-in.

@nikolie93 I am glad you decided to join us here and on TTC >35 as well. Is there any progress towards your RE appointment? Try not to stress about it too much. For me it felt good moving forward.
@LittleMrsW I hope your life isn't too crazy. Did you guys decide if your are going to NTNP or TTA for now?
@scrang74 How was your weekend? Have you tested yet this cycle? Did you look at any more houses?
@McSarah1104 Did the meds work for you or did you/will you have a D&C? I'm sorry you are going through this.

tlc35 for this. The meds are still a no-go so far. At least I haven't seen anything that would indicate that they worked. I guess it's always possible I didn't notice (maybe that's not possible, actually).

Follow up appointment tomorrow afternoon. Yay. Another afternoon off work for this bullshit.

We also have our first appointment with the RE at 7am (yup, SEVEN A.M. YUCK) tomorrow morning. Looking forward to getting that started though.

ETA: I always forget the GTKY!

Favorite condiment: Honey Mustard or maybe sweet relish.

The holidays are always fun, I was super sad on easter this year not to get to announce and now I get to to the same (not announcing) this Thanksgiving. So we shall see how it all goes. With wine all things are possible.

@McSarah1104 So sorry the meds aren't working. Glad you are getting to see an RE though. My insurance won't cover one so I may be switching to hubby's insurance which means I'll lose my OB which totally sucks. Medical crap is so frustrating!! Hoping you get some answers from either doc tmrw!

AFM: Our weekend was ok. I had to work yesterday which was annoying, and I'll lose another part of my weekend this coming weekend as well...I'll be traveling to NY for work. At least I'll get Sunday off to explore in the city.

I'm 9DPO and made a poor decision to test...negative of course.

Last time, I didn't have a positive til 14DPO!!! So, now just digging deep for more patience and looking for distractions. I recently got back to knitting so that's been nice and relaxing.

We're still looking at houses, but decided we weren't going to list our condo til after the holidays. Having an Open House/staging when I've got my precious Christmas decor everywhere is not a good idea!

QOTW: Don't really have a favorite condiment...unless hummus counts, ha!

Thanksgiving day was our EDD, so I couldn't imagine cooking and socializing that day. DH and I are going away for a little roadtrip up the California coast. Christmas is my favorite and DH and I will be going back to FL for that...so excited to go home, mom always knows how to spoil me!

@McSarah1104 I am so sorry this is happening to you, the meds didn't work for me either and I ended up needing a d&c. Good luck with your appointments I will keep you in my thoughts this week.

@scrang74 Last week one of our graduates POAS at 9dpo got a bfn and ended up with her bfp later in the week, so you just never know what will happen! My FX for you!

AFM: I had a busy weekend which helped keep my mind off the 2ww but today my best friend said something pretty insensitive to me (see today's throat punch thread) and I've been down in the dumps since. I plan to test Saturday, 12 dpo, and not a day sooner because the RE said I could get a false-positive from the trigger if I did. I'm not feeling terribly optimistic that this was our month and that really sucks because we really thought it would be when we started the meds and did the IUI. I won't count myself out yet but morale is low.

QOTW: I'm not a fan of condiments. As for the holidays, I wish I had a fast forward button so I could skip them all together. I opted not to go visit my parents for Thanksgiving because I knew I wouldn't be able to handle all the family merriment when I was mourning our loss' EDD and Christmas means sucking up my feels and pretending like my heart isn't hurting that we're not having "babies first Christmas." Sorry that went so drama-llama, I'm just really dreading the holidays.

@Feegan‌ I haven't read the TP thread but I'm sorry your friend is being so insensitive, ((hugs)). FX for you on Saturday.

Afm- Shit is hitting the fan at work, we are eventually going to close which means I will be losing my job. I've been there for 7 years so this is totally heartbreaking. Dh and I have a plan in motion, but some of things we need to fall in place are really out of our hands. So we will be NTNP for an undetermined amount of time. It sucks, but it's for the best.
On top of all that, my EDD is Sunday, so yeah, all the drinks will be had this weekend.

I know the holidays will be hard for me this year, but there's no way around it. Just gotta get through it. I hosted Thanksgiving last year and I'm thinking about doing it again this year, it will be a good distraction.

@mcsarah1104 I'm sorry the meds aren't working for you. I didn't try them because I was scheduled to work out of town a week later and needed to be recovered by then. I kinda regret not trying it. It is so hard to know what is best.

@Scrang74 I am pretty sure my insurance says that it doesn't cover fertility treatment but my bill for the initial visit was only $71 and I had multiple labs, and ultrasound and a consult so it appears a fair amount was covered. I hate that it is so hard to identify what is covered and what isn't.

@Feegan I feel EXACTLY the same way you do about the holidays which is why I asked this question. I wanted to commiserate. My EDD was also the week of thanksgiving and I also pictured dressing a tiny LO up in some adorable Christmas outfit. It sucks that this had really tainted the holidays for us. FWIW I have my hopes up for you this cycle and I'm sorry your friend was insensitive.

AFM: I just got back from an interview about a job I really want. It is basically my dream job. I think at this point they are building the program and currently just want me to come on board as part time contract work. I'm hoping this will eventually turn into a full time job but it looks like it will be a process. I hope this helps me get my foot in the door.
TTCAL related I don't have high hopes for this cycle because of my late O and thin lining. I just go the call that my TSH and prolactin are normal and FSH, E2 and progesterone were normal for just past O so I guess that is good. Next cycle is a testing cycle and I'm hopeful for the increased chances on an HSG cycle.

ETA: my favorite condiment is salsa!

We were typing at the same time. I'm sorry that you are loosing your job. I hope your plan falls into place and I get how much it sucks that things are out of your hand (I am in the same situation). I will be sending you hugs and strength for your EDD.

@McSarah1104 :: Sorry you’re in this hold pattern with the meds, but it’s great you’re getting to see the RE tomorrow, even if you do have to go so early (yuck!)

@scrang74 :: FX for a positive next test! Hope you enjoy your day around NYC - do you have anything specific you want to do?

@Feegan :: I’m a firm believer in holding out for testing. Not sure if I posted it here or on the TTC after 35 last week but I’d hate to get in a tizzy with a false positive or false negative so I just wait it out.

@LittleMrsW :: Sorry to hear about the job situation. That happened to me a few years ago so I understand all the unknowns surrounding you.

AFM: I was super positive this cycle. Symptoms haven’t been that strong since I was pregnant and because of that I was contemplating breaking my rule and POAS early. Then I had a small breakout on my jawline Thursday night and my hopes sank - I knew it was just PMS. Out of nowhere on Friday, AF arrived a full 4 days early. Since then I’ve had terrible cramps but just a light/medium flow and now I’m spotting. I’m finally caving and going to see an acupuncturist that my gf recommended and used when she was having trouble TTC. Her reputation for helping with fertility issues is so positive that the two main RE offices in the area recommend her, too. I can’t get in until Saturday so I’ll update with my experience at next week’s check in. Have any of you tried acupuncture? If so, what are your thoughts?

QOTW #1: Hot sauce. Depending on the dish, my go-tos are Cholula and Sriracha.

QOTW #2: I hate the holidays. Well, “hate” is a strong word. I’ve always disliked the holidays - too much family drama plus it’s cold and I am not a fall/winter person. This year I don’t even know what I’m going to do with myself. Our first (and most likely) EDD was established as 11/15. When I measured small, they suggested 11/26 which is my birthday. I will host Thanksgiving like usual but imagine I will be a tipsier than normal. That’s also a week before my mom’s angel-versary so it’s just a complicated time. Maybe I’ll get it all out of my system before Christmas??

@tlc35‌ thank you for the welcome! I got the call from the RE and they said the earliest appointment for the pre-conception appt is January. I was so very disappointed to hear that. I just feel like I'm running out of time and if the first appt takes that long what will happen with the other appts?? Hate to report I had a pretty blah day. Tomorrow is a new day though!

I'm torn about the holidays. I'm really not feeling it but, I hate to sound like a scrooge, but I've never been a "YAY, IT'S THE HOLIDAYS" type person. And this year MH and I are going up to VA where we will spend if with his family... Including his sister who just had her 3rd baby, unplanned, and "accidentally". All 3 of them. Grrrrr. I'm honestly not sure how I am going to feel when my EDD of 11-13 comes around :-/

@aswedishbee Yes on the acupuncture!! I have my 4th appointement on Wednesday and loving it. I go to a clinic that my OB recommended and they have great results with infertility issues. I've been feeling way more in control of my body and anxiety levels/stress since starting. The needles are so tiny and don't hurt a bit. I do guided meditation as well as I lie on the table, and that has been really helpful to learn to use outside of the clinic.

If its a true Chinese clinic, you might get a tea blend to cook and drink every day, but they can also give it to you in powder form.

Since its fertility based acupuncture, be prepared to tell them any test results that you've had done, ie FSH, progesterone, etc. And don't worry about getting TMI with them...my therapist wanted to know EVERYTHING!

@aswedishbee‌ acupuncture sounds so interesting, I don't know anyone that has specifically done it for fertility, but I have heard it's super relaxing, and have seen lots of good things about it on the boards! Definitely let us know how it goes.

I have great (but possibly TMI) news this early-ass morning, (side note: 7am doctors appointments are stupid. No, actually, 7am is stupid :-)) I passed the pregnancy pretty well out of the blue. Hooray! I now have cramps and am super scared about clots ruining my morning, but I'm so grateful that it's all "done". My follow up is today, so fx it's all clear and we can get back to normal.

AFM, we are all moved in to our new house, with the exception of a few small things left in our old house, and the move went really well on Saturday! We had perfect weather, which really helped. Unfortunately our dogs are not adjusting well to the move. I hope that changes soon. And to make matters worse, I have to take Duncan (my avatar) in to the vet on Thursday for a biopsy procedure with sedation - he has a small growth next to one of his ears and last Thursday they found some abnormal cells during a needle aspiration test. At the same time I have to bring our other dog, Jasmine, in because she has developed some weird sores near her mouth and we have no idea what caused them. *sigh*

@MrsKush1014‌ I'm sorry to hear about your furbabies. Sometimes it takes a while for them to adjust to a move. Positive thoughts for both Duncan and Jasmine.

On a good note for me (well, better than yesterday) the RE called back and I have an appointment Dec 17th. Although it's still a long wait, it's closer than January!
