MBF 10/27

I am cranky as f*ck today. Who's with me?

Insert witty gif here... (if I knew how)

Re: MBF 10/27

  • 1. I just went through the car wash with my sunroof ever so slightly open. Fuuuuuuck.

    I'll be back with more.

  • Alright not sure why TB won't let me edit that blank post...anyway, I was bitching about how it took an hour and a half to get through to the pediatrician's office this morning. Then after I posted they picked up and so now I'm bitching about the nurse giving me stink about introducing a bottle to my baby I stay at home with...um, the kid is 3 months old, am I just never supposed to leave him with someone else? I can understand a little questioning if he was 3 days old but come on.
  • 2. My house is an absolute disaster. Weekends are starting to drive me crazy as it becomes all about DH accomplishing his "to do" list of yard work, etc. while I try to occupy the thre kids and don't shower all day. Mondays are now the worst. I have five baskets of clean/wrinkly laundry to fold, groceries to get, two days worth of clutter to organize, etc. It's honestly easier to shower early and keep my house clean during the week.
  • I got really sick last week, then got a lot better. Woke up feeling dreadful again today, I think my immune system is drunk. *noms vitamins by the handful*

    Being sick has also caused:

-hating people who are being judgey about me starting LO on formula. Was not aware that the world was entitled to an opinion on liquids that come out of me, or not, as the case may be.

-weight dropping off again. I look like an anorexia awareness ad and it's creepy, all collarbone and dark eyes.

  • Oh! and my Once Upon a Time didn't record. I need to learn to work the recording thingy properly or remember the Hulu password. I'm such a tech moron.
  • 3. As has become their annual tradition, my in-laws have invited themselves down to go trick or treating with us. I never invite them, they just ask what time it starts and it doesn't occur to DH to tell them no (or he wants them to come, I don't know...) Anyway, we are really close with both of our next door neighbors because all of our kids are the same ages and we all love to go ToTing together. It's just annoying to have my ILs tagging along. I over share on FB/Insta anyway, so why can't they just enjoy the pictures? They'd save themselves a 45-minute drive each way as well. I just want to enjoy the evening with my DH, kids, and their friends, have a couple of drinks, eat my yummy stew and then raid the kids' candy after they're in bed...so leave me aloooooone.
  • I miss the random thread. And the place I would normally go to bitch about missing the random thread... is the random thread.
  • My 3 year old woke me up by puking all over my bedroom floor. Seems the stomach bug that's been going around has finally caught up to her. Now I've gotta try to keep her away from little sister all day.

    Strange. I will investigate.

Also, major bitching right here - I have to get braces Nov 10th. BUUULLLLLSHIT. I never had them, I only have one goofy tooth thats out of wack. My dentist growing up always told my mom it wasnt worth it for just one tooth. But now my teeth around goofy tooth (its too far forward) are starting to get sore and actually wearing away some from the one thats wrong. At least I only have to do it on the bottom for 10-12 months but ugh. Im almost 30 years old. Bitch bitch bitch.

  • Stores put away their fans and I need a new fan. I've searched Walmart, Target and picked up on at Meijer, but it's too small and too quite. I need the noise and we put my fan in DS's room for the noise. Do stores think people don't need fans in October? Looks like I need to continue my search.

    That's bizarre.  Try Lowes.

  • I'll try Lowes. Target only had the teeny-tiny desk fan left. I may be looking online if I can't find one.

Another MBF: my mail carrier hoards my packages. They check that they "deliver" it but they hold onto it and don't put a slip in my box. So anything I order is missing for weeks. I've complained several times with no change. I want my new perfume I ordered 2 weeks ago!
  • So, I quit my job on Saturday. After an awful day at daycare on Thursday (overfeeding, not realizing her onesie was poopy after a poo explosion- really people?) etc, we didn't feel comfortable sending her back there. After many prayers, budget rearranging, and talking with the company doing the mortgage on the house we are building, we can make it fine with only DH salary.

Bitch: they didn't have an extra key to my desk and the guy who was using it wasn't there so now I have to go back sometime this week to dig through what's in there to make sure I take what's mine, etc. Ugh- I really didn't want to go back in there anytime soon.

When I went to feed DS at lunch time at daycare, he hadn't gotten up from his nap yet, which is fine, but he was in his little crib and he was propped up on a boppy pillow while sleeping.  He was swaddled and had his paci and was very content looking, but I would never put him in either his crib or PnP to sleep propped on a pillow.  I'm a STM and trying not to over react about this, I just calmly informed the girls in his room I disagreed that that placed him like that to sleep, I do not want him to ever sleep like that again and they should have called me first before doing that.

ETA: they said they did that because every time they lay him down he wakes up

  • DD's babysitter gave her notice cause she's decided to travel with her husband for his work. Makes me sad cause she was awesome. So now I'm just bitching cause I have to go through the process of finding another non-crazy and affordable in-home care provider.

That's no excuse.  There's no reason for doing all of that and if your kid wakes up, then they should deal with it/help him get back to sleep.  Not take the "easy" solution that is totally not safe.  I'd be pissed too.

My MBF:  Brother has decided he isn't coming to DD's baptism on Sunday because he "doesn't want to deal with church" or something.  He went to a family friend's daughter's baptism less than a year ago and now he won't go to his niece's?  I suspect SIL has something to do with this and I can't believe he won't come.  My husband's sister is flying in from across the country for this and she's Jewish.
  • F was a grumpy, fussy, screaming, hot mess for me off and on all day.

Then daddy comes home and he's all smiles and laughter.

    Why does he hate me?
Baby boy "F" was born on 7/11/14!!

I'm so jealous. We're currently building a house right now too and we couldn't afford it without my salary. My job is awful and I would loooove to be able to stay at home with DD. I've mentioned that my boss is a C U Next Tuesday and makes my life hell everyday. As a matter of fact, I've been shut up in my office crying this morning :( I guess that'll be my bitch for today lol.
:-( awe! Sorry dear! We were able to go conventional and since TX isn't a marital property state, both my income and debt were removed. Pretty sure it was just a blessing from God! Hopefully things work out for you- be it your boss shapes up or many you and DH can find away for you to SAH.
  • Yeah parents, totally wait til your kid gets on the bus and then stand at the door talking to them while cars are lined up on both sides waiting for the bus to move. I didn't have anywhere to be....

  • Mine's a delayed weekend MBF.

Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch with my parents and some family friends.  DH wasn't feeling well that morning, but we both thought he'd get over it.

Well, he didn't.  He must have had some really wicked food poisoning.  He stayed at my parent's farmhouse while we went to the pumpkin patch and corn maze.  Poor guy was sick, sick, sick but not a lot we could do for him.

Anyway, so DH, baby, and I start to drive home that evening.  90 mile drive home.  Poor DH gets super sick while I'm driving 70 down the highway.  I try to pull over as fast as I can, but it was like trying to slow down a space shuttle coming in for a landing.  I veered off the road as quickly as I could, but then in a panic I couldn't get the doors unlocked fast enough for him.

Poor DH was sick.  All. Over. My. New. Car.

So here we are in the middle of nowhere, backseat and front seat getting filled with vomit.  Thank God the baby was asleep and stayed asleep. I drove to the nearest gas station, which wasn't very close, and had to buy overpriced paper towels for us to do what we could for my poor car.

So I got to spend most of my day Sunday sitting at an auto detailing place waiting for my poor car to recover from that.

TL;DR: My poor, vomit-covered new car. (DH is better now.  He sadly told me he didn't think he'd be the first one to defile my new car--he thought it would be the baby.)

  • Baby wouldn't go to sleep tonight and I got frustrated and so did dh. Which then made us snappy which then led to a very woman thing where every single thought, fear and emotion came spilling out ...ugh relationshipadjustments after baby are so hard.

  • @jessyfish So glad I'm not alone in this. I was starting to feel like I was turning into a crazy Duggar. We only want 2 kids, so what's the rush hormones???

  • I've only ever had heartburn while pregnant, except tonight. Everyone else is in bed and I'm sitting up in the living room sipping water hoping it goes away. I've also been having crazy muscle cramps lately which aren't helping with sleep either. My body needs to realize I'm no longer pregnant and stop being this way.
