anti-nausea meds?

Hi ladies. Is anyone taking/planning to take any medications to stop the nausea/vomiting?

With my first, I was extremely dizzy and nauseated for weeks, but I toughed it out not wanting to take any medications that were not absolutely necessary. I am not sure I can do that again. I have been reading a lot about antihistimanes, often taken together with B6 to relieve nausea. Has anyone talked to their doctor about taking antihistamines? Is there a specific kind or dosage your doctor recommended?

Re: anti-nausea meds?

  • I am on diclectin/diclegis.   I was on it with DD as well but I found that the sleepiness that it induced was not worth it for me so I sucked it up and dealt with the nausea for the most part.  I cannot do that this time around.  It really is a life saver for me.  Without it all I feel like doing is curling up and hiding.  Even with the drowsiness, the drugs at least make me feel half human again.  I'm trying to keep my dose as low as possible so I'm only using it to take the edge off the nausea.  The recommended does was 2 pills in the evening, 1 in the morning and 1 in the afternoon.  I'm taking 1.5 in the evening and 1 in the morning but I may have to add in the afternoon pill because I am combating all day nausea so I need something to help in the evening now.
