I like ice packs. I have back issues so I've been seeing my chiropractor regularly and I went for a prenatal massage last week. I'm very cautious about trying to maintain a healthy back. I also got a prenatal yoga DVD I'm going to start. Stretching helps but for me that's more prevention, I can't do it during a painful episode.

  • Chiropractor?

Honestly, I don't know though. Back pain is my biggest struggle right now. It's bad Y'all. I mean -BAD. It shoots down my legs and my knees buckle sometimes.

I try stretching (although I'll have to try this new one @maltwin1‌ and @Alygohome‌ - thanks ladies) I try resting (not so easy with a toddler who clings to me for dear life much of the day.)

If you find the magic cure, let me know. I'm calling a chiropractor Monday. I'll let you know how it goes.

I hope it works for you! I had sciatica problems even before pregnancy and its the only one I've found that really gets that specific area stretched out. I tried all my old dance warm up stretches and nothing quite got there, but my dad has suffered from a lot of chronic pain issues and he showed me that one.

I have a few others that work well also if you're still having trouble, but that one is definitely my favorite. This reminds me that I need to do these before I go to bed tonight.

  • I go to the chiropractor every two weeks. I can tell when that two weeks is almost up, because I start getting lower back pain. Furthermore, my Chiro said I started walking like a pregnant woman and have rolled my shoulders back causing even more pain. So yes, my Chiro is my magic cure for all my back pain.
  • Seeing a chiropractor will help a lot! Preferably one that can send you to a massage therapist on staff

  • It just started this weekend for me too! It hurts worst when I go from sitting to standing! I started stretching and am going to call tomorrow to get a massage!

Try looking up some prenatal yoga stretches. I'm not a yoga person normally, but I used the stretches I looked up and felt soooo much better. If you're feeling any sciatic leg/hip/lower back pain I have a great stretch. Stand next to your bed facing the bed. Put the leg in pain (or the leg of the side in pain) up on the bed and let your knee fall off to the side. Then bend forward as far as you can until you feel a really good stretch and try to hold there for 20-30 seconds. It really does wonders to relieve those lower body pains!

  • my back pain is my upper back by my shoulders, basically the backside if where my boobs are.

but i have bulging discs in my back from a car accident.
