T25

I was looking to talk to Matthew930 because I think she used the program... and shes disappeared from the face of the earth. Im so sad we lost so many.

Anyway, Im having a really hard time fitting in workouts now and I am so tired of the 20 lbs I have to go (plus the extra I had before) I was thinking of ordering the program but had some questions... has anyone else tried it?

  • I'm interested to hear reviews as well! It's supposed to be only 25min workouts right!? I feel like that would be totally manageable!

  • Is there any equipment required for T25? I hated trying to do pullups with p90x. I am a marathon runner, upper body will never be my strong point. I dont mind buying a few weights, and buying it right now comes w a 15 lb resistance band, but I dont really have the storage space for a ton of equipment.

    Also any recommendations for a 6 week program? That sounds like a good idea for both DH and I.

  • My DH did T25, but has since fallen off the wagon.  It was helpful for him, but to me it looked super exhausting.  Granted, I was watching him do it when I was late 2nd tri/early 3rd tri and doing much of anything was getting harder.

  • I think the idea of T25 sounds good. But honestly I'm still slow going. I went on a 4 mile walk yesterday and my legs are sore today. I think I'd pass out on the floor or have to call a lifeline to get me up.

    I do think starting up the track club or a check-in could be helpful. I've been using MFP and map my run to help log things... when I remember.

  • I haven't done T25 but I love Shaun T. Did Insanity a few times before getting pregnant and can't wait to get back to it but right now I'm doing PiYo. If any of you guys are interested in a program that's low impact but h intensity, this program's pretty good! And the videos are between 20-35 minutes so far. Some of the videos in the 2nd month (it's a 2 month program) might be longer, but I haven't gotten there yet. And the only thing you need is a yoga mat!

    I did T25 before pregnancy. I found it a bit boring but effective and really close to 25 minutes including cool down and warm up.

    I started P90x3 8 weeks post c section. They are 30 minutes and I love it. I'm 5 pounds from pp and have like 3.5 weeks to go. I gained like 55 pounds. I do not follow the diet or count calories. I just eat healthy 90% of the time.

    To stay motivated....I just tell myself it's only 30 minutes. Just do it. And It usually gives me more energy.

  • I will definitely look into Piyo. I love the idea of low impact, even though Im only running 2-3 times per week my knees could use a break sometimes. And p90x3 - does that use equipment?

    And Im downloading myfitnesspal now!
  • Piyo looked good I'm going start training for a 10k. I'm not a runner at all. And I'm going to use this for my cross training

    P90x3 just requires a set of dumbbell and restitance band. You can use more stuff but it's not necessary.

  • I'm doing T25! Love it when I can get to it. I'm still 15 lbs away from pre preggo weight but it's helped me lose the 15 I've lost so far. It's tough, but it goes quick!
  • I am doing PIYO and going to the gym sporadically when someone can watch the little guy and it works with feeding schedules.  I like PIYO because it is low impact and I feel like my hips and knees have been sore so I appreciate the gentleness and the slow re building of my core
