My LO is fascinated by...

The fan above our kitchen table/her destinated changing station, especially when we manually spin it. It's fun seeing her get all ooooh and her eyes dart to follow the blades. When she's fussy? Just lay her there and she's happy as a clam.

Is there anything that really gets your LO's attention or something that calms him/her down most?

Definitely lights and fans. I remember taking my oldest to Home Depot when he was a tiny baby to wander the light and fan aisles whenever he had a fussy day.

I have a dark stain shelf above my couch that draws attention like nothing else. Oh and lamps and lights. He also watches the tv in the motn.

Another lover of the ceiling fan here. I've also noticed when I have her in her swing she'll turn her head and stare at our DVD collection. I figure she likes the contrasting colors. Maybe. Who knows.

Lights, the fans, and the pictures on the wall in our den and in his room. DS1 was the same way. When he is wailing and nothing can console him for long....lay him on my MIL's bed and he immediately quiets down and kicks, coos and "talks".... Adorable!

DS loves to stare at ceiling fans, also. He also loves watching tv or DH play computer games. He is very interested in his contrasting crib bedding and he loves looking at my face and at his own in the mirror.

The ceiling fan. I think all babies love them. I also used to take my oldest to Home Depot and walk through the fan and lighting section. LO is also fascinated by his brother. He loves when he comes over to talk to him.

My SIL once told me that she thinks tiny fairies fly around ceiling lights and fans and only babies can see them. ☺

Like most PP, the ceiling fans, whether they are on or not, and overhead lights. She particularly likes the ceiling fan above our bed. She stares, laughs, and talks to that fan more than anything or anyone else.
