To be in tune with something that actually matches the title, I would like to complain about how really annoyed I am with people telling me that I am "small" and they didn't even know I was pregnant. I'm an esthetician so I wear scrubs at work. Not maternity scrubs, just a shirt larger than I normally would. In addition to that I am tall and I have a long torso. Do these people think they're saying something new? Every single client I see says the same thing. And then it's the same story about how I am bigger now that with DD1 and she was born over 10 lbs. There are days I envy those of you complaining about people saying you're huge. It is far from judgemental and pity looks from people thinking you're malnourished or growing a small baby. Grrr!!!

Also, get used to unwelcome comments. This is my third baby. In the last week I've heard "I hate to tell you this but youre having a boy," "just one baby in there?" and "you look like you could go any day." It still gets old but I still can't change it. I'm average size and I've only gained 15 lbs. People, in general, have no clue what the hell they're talking about.
I do not think I could have said that any better if I tried. Complaining about people not commenting on how huge and pregnant you look on a pregnancy forum full of 3rd trimester women...WTAF?

Its because I am fat and people don't want to assume.
I dont want people calling me small or huge.
I want them to continue to keep their fucking opinions on how I look to themselves.

The kid is healthy in there, so idgaf how I look..
1) come on
2) why are you calling everyone huge?
I am somewhat supportive...I don't think people should make comments about a pregnant woman's body, period. Small or large. I think it's silly for larger women to dismiss the complaints of smaller women, when smaller women get just as much guilt (you're starving the baby, you're not healthy, you are so selfish, etc etc). There was a tiny girl in my birth class and I never said anything to her because I don't like when people say things to me. I think women need to stop tearing each other down like this. Almost every woman has been pregnant, and almost every woman continues to make comments.
Having said that, you have to realize that a 300 sentence missive on the horrors of being small is going to be misplaced. It's like complaining to your friend that is unemployed how hard your job is. Sure, it's probably hard, but maybe not the right target audience ya know?
"you look beautiful today." THIS is an acceptable thing to say to a pregnant woman.

Eh... I understand but I have an instant side-eye for thin girls who have to jump in and say how it is just as hard to be small as it is to be big. In Western culture, it just isn't the same. All women get shit for their bodies and none of us ever seem to be told we have it right, but fat is still more stigmatized than thin. Yeah, jealous people will make mean comments or people will say "you are so tiny!" as a misguided compliment. But I have never heard someone say "omg, look at that skinny girl, should she even be allowed to have kids? CPS should take them away." Which really does happen.
Still, it is no one's business what you look like and people should keep their stupid opinions to themselves. I have no idea why pregnancy opens the floodgates for these dumb comments.
Or here's some free chocolate!
OMG let's write a book about this. Here's another one: let me do all of the work so you can sit down and rest.
