Clear Blue Week Counters?

Ok, I'll admit it, I've been shamelessly using the CB pregnancy tests with the weeks since ovulation counter since I got my BFP on Oct 12 at 10dpo. It bumped up from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks at 15 dpo on the 17th. I'm now 24 dpo, and it still hasn't risen to 3+ weeks.

I know these sticks don't replace a doctor, but I don't have any spotting or cramping so I'd rather not call my dr unless it was an actual emergency. It makes me feel better to see the tests because I don't have my first appointment until the 5th. Is it bad that it hasn't changed to 3+ weeks yet? Anyone else using these?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. I'm just ready for some positive reassurance from a medical professional.

  • I don't know how accurate they are. I wouldn't worry about it.

  • I've been using them too and waiting for the 3+. After making myself worry all day I did research on their reliability and found the same studies that are already listed. I realized that unless I have spotting or something else that I just can't worry about it. I'm doing everything I can from my side and just have to trust that things are going well until my appointment on the 10th. If I find out then that things aren't going well it's not my fault.
I've also decided to stop taking the tests because anxiety isn't going to help anything or anyone.
  • Thank you ladies. I really appreciate it!!
  • These things caused me so much anxiety. I went up to 3+, down to 2-3, was sure I was having a miscarriage and had a few days of crying ... then went back up to 3+. It was a lot of stress and I will never use those things again!!

  • I've also heard that when your HCG level is high, it's too high for the weeks tests. It can be too high at 5-7 weeks. The weeks start going back down or it tells you you're not pregnant at all. I use FRER and just make sure the line gets darker over the first week or two.
