herbal medication

So I have a soar throat and I took a herbal medication called Phytalacca . The directions say to take 4 tabs 3 times a day, but I just took 4 tabs once last night. There was nothing on the bottle but when I asked my pharmacist he said it can be pretty dangerous for pregnancy and breastfeeding. I feel fine. Any advice if I should call my Dr or just go with how I'm feeling?

    Call your doctor. Do not take medicine without Knowledge of what you are taking and don't self-prescribe herbs.

    I agree with PP - you should call your doctor just to be safe, even if you are feeling ok. In the future, I would suggest you check with your doctor before taking ANY type medication, herbal or otherwise.
